Fantastic ice maker
LOVE this icemaker! The ice lasts for a loooong time. In my stainless cups, it lasts 8+ hours at work through 7-8 bottles of water. The bullet ice makers can't stand up to this tiny ice :D. It works great, is very fast and, while it's not very quiet, it doesn't run long enough to be a nuisance.

Worth Every Penny for These Tiny Ice Cubes
Wanted to wait a bit to write a review as this is my 4th one (all different brands) just to be sure. Folks, this machine is phenomenal. Not too loud, constant output of tiny little ice cubes that are almost like the ice at Sonic, no leaking, high fill line, and super fast refills. Two people can generously fill up their glass and there's still a few cubes at the bottom. By the time we come back for another glass of tea, the tank is full again. The cleaning process is easy, too, which I do about 1x month. It fits right next to my microwave, so it's about that tall and probably half the width. Yes, it takes up some counters pace, but it sure beats having to buy a 5 lb bag at the store as it slowly melts on the way home, taking up half of my freezer space and re-freezing the melted parts so that you have to slam it on some hard surface to break the cubes back up. Thank God those days are over! It was super easy to set up - I didn't even need to read the instructions (except on how/when to clean). Have had ZERO problems or issues with it. This is by far the best countertop ice machine out there, especially if you like the tiny "nugget" ice (my kid loves to crunch ice and I'm not even a little bit worried he'll break a tooth on these compared to the bigger ice cubes). Absolutely worth every penny! *Everything I've just written is completely true and unbiased. This was not part of some promo deal nor was I offered any discount for my written opinion. I paid full price for this baby and would do it again...in fact I probably will when I get my own office at work.

Toxic ice, this is serious.
This is important and hopefully Amazon doesnt remove this review for being honest. I just bought three nugget ice makers. They are all the same make but with a different company name stuck on it. This machine makes the fastest ice but is the loudest, but its still not as loud as I thought it would be. I eat a lot of ice because I am anemic. Since I have had this, this particular machine runs for about 4 hours a day during work week and on the weekend, pretty much all day. The most important thing to know is that this machine is toxic. It does make ice fast, I loved that at first. After a few days of use, I noticed the water was looking weird, eventhough I was draining it every day and rinsing the old water out. I use filtered water and there is no hard water build up. I couldn't figure out what the white particles were so it was a mystery for a week. I got really sick and stayed home from work. While I was home, I started looking at this machine, since I had time. I took my phone flashlight and looked inside. Finally I noticed a difference in the plastic where the ice comes out and the extra water flows out. The chute area plastic was flaking off. It was going into the water and freezing into ice. I was eating plastic. I am so upset knowing that I was getting poisoned by this. All I wanted was nugget ice with clean water but I was basically harming myself without even knowing it. I dont smoke and dont drink but I do eat ice when I become really anemic. This should not be allowed to be sold at all. This should be banned. I wonder how much damage to my health has occurred by me eating toxic plastic ice?!

Barbie’s Dream House Nugget Ice Maker
If you’re looking for a compact, nugget ice maker for one, that could easily fit alongside your child’s Easy Bake Oven in the families playroom, I think you’ve found the perfect small appliance. This ice maker requires lots of attention for a small amount of ice making. Requires awkward cleanings, where as you have the ice maker positioned at the edge of a sink, you must reach under the machine, and fumble around feeling for a drain plug, which isn’t hard to find and feel for when removing it, but replacing it is a different story. Which of course you must do 3 times in succession after you’ve run the first cleaning with a teaspoon of bleach, and two more run throughs with clean water. Quite frankly, this little gem is made for a single person, unless you want to babysit it four literally hours, bagging up small amounts of ice through a 24 hour period, adding and adding more water as you go, and placing the haul in your freezer. The main issue I have with this unit, is the positioning of how the ice falls out of the unit into the basket. The new ice seems to stack up like a small water fall that has frozen in the mountains, which is beautiful to see in nature, yet really annoying in this case, because it backs up constantly, turning the ice making mechanism off, because it thinks the basket is full, and that couldn’t be further from the truth. This predicament requires the human who purchased this machine to every 20 to 30 minutes or so, to open the lid, and using the plastic scoop, move the ice around, to get the machine to turn back on, and continue making more ice. (Excuse me for a moment, while I go and do that right now). (I’m back)! If you have all day and are diligent, you’ll have a full basket of ice, if you leave and half to work, you will come home to maybe a half basket, or less. Because that mountain freezing waterfall I mentioned, will freeze and melt, freeze and melt all day long. Look, I’ve owned a few of these types of ice makers over the years, generally they work real well for about two years, and that’s if you maintain them well, regular cleanings, only using distilled water for making ice and for all cleanings, which is the water that creates the least calcium build up. But for around $200 bucks, they aren’t bad for the money. But in this case, cleanings are annoying, because it doesn’t have the back drain tubing which many of the better ones have, and having to constantly be involved in stirring the ice in the basket, to keep the full sensor from being triggered is a pain. It’s not a loud machine, it is a compact machine, actually the smallest I’ve ever come across , but it’s a machine that if you want it to do what it’s designed to do, requires too much involvement from me, the human, I wouldn’t recommend this particular unit. Good luck in choosing what’s best for you.

Best price for a high quality ice maker
After carefully looking through many different ice makers of various different prices, I settled on this one after looking at reviews for all of them. And I’m so glad I did! Zero problems, right out of the box, made ice within like 30 min, it fits on my countertop, comes with the ice scoop which is nice too, it’s been on constantly (don’t turn it off!), and no issues with overheating or anything. It does put out hot air though so I have it a little more forward on my countertop. The space is perfect for my studio. It’s super easy to use, just fill the compartment, and press start. It cycles the ice so it doesn’t get stuck so when the bottom ice melts, it makes fresh ice from it! Always having fresh ice is actually really nice. And it’s just like sonic ice. Very soft and crunchy. Absolutely perfect, going to be gifting these out for Christmas and bdays.

Good But Highly Flawed Design
For health reasons, I was looking for an ice machine that makes pebble ice, like the hospital has. I'm NOT a fan of just water, and I needed to cut out my Crystal Lite, which although states "sugar free", isn't sugar free. Fortunately, I'm addicted to slushies! So I can do water in the frozen form! A search on Amazon turned up MANY choices... Using common sense on the features, and balancing price with features, I settled on this ice maker. In the beginning Upon receiving, unpackaging, and reading the instructions, I was excited to get started... I was surprised with how easy it was to begin. Just add water and within minutes, the ice was dropping!! As the ice fell, the long awaited test to see if the ice cubes were small enough, and soft to chew... SUCCESS! Perfect size and NO broken teeth!! Actually, the cubes were "Al dente", soft to the tooth!! After the first day enthusiasm wore off... The appliance is a tad bit loud. This was consistently pointed out in other reviews. It's not exactly like a train passing by, but the compressor and the external fan creates a mildly loud hum. Now I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen, however, my girlfriend did ask me to turn it off as we ate dinner. Secondly, and most important... There's a design flaw with this and many other appliances... The ice falls from the top, straight down. Because the ice is wet, and soft, the ice builds up to where it falls from, creating a tower of ice, instead of falling into the bin and distributing evenly into the bin. As a result, if the ice is not adjusted, the holding bin will NEVER fill more than 30%. If you knock the tower down, and pull all the ice to the sides to readjust, it's a short term fix, before it happen again. It seem like the more you adjust the ice tower, the shorter time to readjust. To get a full bin of ice, you have to babysit it to constantly make adjustments. What happens if you don't make adjustments?? The machine turns off, the ice melts, and when you go for a refill of ice, there's nothing there. Again, the flaw in design is there's no at the very least, any insulation to preserve any of the made ice. It literally starts to melt, as it falls into the bin. To resolve this, I've made Ziploc bags full of ice and stored in the freezer, to ensure I have a steady supply of ice, as this is my ONLY source of fluids. I should note, that for this reason only, I was going to return the machine, however, I'm now armed with more knowledge about what to look for. 80% of other ice machines have the same design & flaw. In addition, if you read the other reviews on this device, there is one other review that mentioned the "Tower of Ice".

Stumbled Upon this Awesome Ice Maker
I took a gamble on this ‘off brand’ ice maker. I can say confidently that this ice maker is AMAZING!!! It makes the best ice, keeps it cold, and is so easy to use! I have now been told by friends and family that other ice makers have a high price tag! Lucky for me, I didn’t get that far and ordered this one instead! This ice maker makes true nugget ice with that soft consistency! This isn’t just cubed ice in nugget form! Go ahead and order this ice maker! You won’t be sorry!
