I have a Vortex Strikefire II I purchased for my Benelli turkey shotgun. As per my habit, I bought the Strikefire red dot shortly before the turkey opener. The red dot came with an extended "Z" shaped stanchion that raised the scope up 2-3/4". Way high off my cheek spot, had to scramble to find a system to raise up the stock comb to keep consistent spot weld to keep me in the game. Suffered through the spring season and committed to finding a solution to lower the red dot to normal human dimensions. Spec'ed out the Vortex Optics Tactical 30mm Riflescope Rings to solve my issue. After arrival and mounting couldn't be more pleased with the result. As I said, just what the doctor ordered.

I'm using this to run my old Aimpoint Comp C3 on top of my H&R Pardner Pump Protector for some lug shooting. It mounts the optic as low as possible with just a tiny bit of clearance for the bottom of the objective end to the top of the rail with the flip-up lens cap installed. The quality is good and is what you'd expect from midlevel, but quality, Chinese manufactured optics, from Vortex and Primary Arms. On mine there are no flaws or burrs outside and most importantly inside the mount, I only need one, so the installation is more forgiving, however if you plan on using two you might want to consider lapping for best fit. The only thing I don't like about this mount is that the mounting nut is a bit long for my purposes and alters the way I draw shells from my side saddle. Near the nut I have to mount the shells brass down and draw from the bottom of the side saddle, this makes my preferred over-the-top loading a little awkward. When I flip the mount around, the nut is then tall enough to impede a clear path to the breach. Btw, the factory Hawk / NEF / H&R PPP picatinny rail I also found here on Amazon for under ten bucks.
