It worked right out of the box.
Plugged it in and it worked perfectly the first time and several times since. I have an old Sony Bravia and it has only 4 hdmi inputs - which was a lot back then, but still has good picture. Needed one more port once in a while for gaming. My system is not 4K, so can't vouch for that. Seems well made and requires no power to run (gets what it needs from the HDMI input). As other reviewers have said, well made little switch. If you just need a 1 into 2, or 2 into 1 in my case, this is perfect. If you need more than this, you could buy two I guess. If I need another, that is probably what I will do. Haven't had it long, but looks solid and not much can go wrong with something this simple, hopefully. I don't trust the powered ones and didn't want an extra controller for 1 switch cluttering things up. Simply press the button and it works. Dead simple - my kind of technology. Wish more things were this bulletproof. They used to be before people got obsessed with unnecessary complexity... I call it unnecessary chaos... Simple is very, very good... especially with wiring!

Yes - It works as advertised !
I had an Apple TV HDMI connected and a cable box component connected to an older 1080i TV which only had one HDMI, one component and one composite input. (I just used TV remote to change TV inputs.) I just acquired a TiVo mini VOX BOX to replace the cable box, TiVo only has HDMI output. (I previously bought and tried to use a component/composite to HDMI converter which was a dismal failure to fix my situation - tried both component and composite conversions at all TV resolutions to no avail , all I got from converter was wavy lines on TV.) I saw and purchased this very inexpensive HDMI bidirectional switch and plugged it up and it worked as advertised on the first try ! It DOES PASS HDCP, (I can watch protected content, Apple TV, with no problem.) I am getting excellent 1080i picture and audio on the TV. It is in a bedroom and we have to get out of bed to switch inputs but it WORKS, UNLIKE THE CONVERTER. We decided against a remote controlled IR switch, (too many batteries already.) Great product in 1080i with HDCP pass through - be sure to check the specs against your HDMI, HDCP, and resolution/hertz for your application.

Pretty simple and it works (it doesn't split the signal though, it's more of a signal selector)
This device takes two inputs and allows you to feed them into one HDMI slot. I bought two of these and tested them on both of my TVs. I have a 2017 model Samsung 65" 4K TV and also an old 40" Vizio, can't remember the year but probably about 2007. On my Samsung I use this for my Nintendo Switch and my Nintendo Wii U. On the Vizio I use one for my SNES classic and my PSTV. To use the device you press the button to select either channel 1 or channel 2, and whichever device is selected its signal goes through to the TV. It draws all the power it needs for the LED indicator from the HDMI cables you plug in. After testing it seems to work great on both TVs. You cannot send two inputs to a TV at the same time. Apparently you could also use this to split a single source to two different monitors/TVs, but I haven't tested that and you would only be able to select one output at a time, it wouldnt do both at once so this is not a true dual monitor solution.

Good quality, simple design at a great price.
Product works great. I can switch from one HDMI device to another with a single touch of a button. A green light indicates which device is active and which on is off. I've had similar switches in the past but they were troublesome from the start. This one, on the other hand, worked fine after the initial setup. Product seems sturdy and made of quality materials. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to add additional HDMI ports. It seems like I always need more anyway.

Switches between two screens, what more can you ask?
Single end plugged into my PC, the other two ports plugged into my TV a monitor. When I push the button my desktop switches from the monitor to the TV. No setup, no issues, several years of use. The only inconvenience is that the switch occurs so seamlessly that my computer does not always recognize that the sound device has changed (i.e. The system tray still shows that I am using monitor speakers even though picture and sound are coming from the TV now). Sometimes it figures it out eventually and defaults to the headphone jack, silencing whatever I was watching on the TV. When this happens I simply select the TV from my list of audio devices and it works perfectly fine. This is not the switches fault, Windows simply can't handle it correctly.

Works for 1080 DVD and Wii U
I’m as frustrated as you are with all the fake reviews on low priced electronics by no-name import companies with questionable quality and shady promotional practices. The bottom line is that I needed an HDMI splitter and could not find a single one from a reliable brand. I ran all the top sellers through a fake review detector and sadly, this was the only one that didn’t have a huge fake review problem. When I say not “huge” I mean that there was some deception indicated (deleted reviews, patterns of repeat phrases, low trust reviewers, etc...). Consumers can’t seem to win. Since this was the best of the worst and I needed some kind of inexpensive device to handle the meager 2 HDMI ports they put on every TV these days, I bought one. Happy to say that it works, right out of the box too. Tested both with the Wii U for a couple of hours and verified the Blu Ray player displayed upon switching. So far so good. I always update my reviews, so if anything goes wrong, you can read about it here.
