Great Sound, good control over your sound
I use this for gaming, so cant comment on people mixing with this. The Zg01 unit is something i cant live without now, and the software allows you to EQ your headphones to a great degree. The included headset is really good, the included headset has the best mic i have ever heard for boon mic. But for the money, you can get the HPH-MT5 monitors from Yamaha, if you don't need a mic, they have same comfort level but much better bass. and it seems they are easier to drive, so you'll get more volume. This Zg01 is not going to drive high impedance headphones, I tried form Hifiman XS on this, and it didn't have enough power to drive high volume ( but man those headphones sounded good, just low volume). to be fair though, my 600 Ohm amp had issues as well. I ended up getting a MC01 microphone from Yamaha, and hooked it up using XLR cable, holy crap it is super loud and crystal clear. and tunable with EQ, gain, gate, etc. Great buy for gamers, but don't expect audiophile levels of power for high end headphones, it will drive and EQ any low resistance headphones to great effect. sidenote, the Zg01 also has a aux port for plugging into your phone, that means you can use your PC setup on phones calls hands free, i love this feature, and to me worth it over the premium of the Zg02.

Love this thing
I got this bundle of the headphones and the mixer on sale and it was well worth it. I play a lot of games that require audible attentiveness and so being able to turn down my friends on discord mid-game is a life changer. Sound quality is excellent and I love the volume control options. I recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their mic to XLR input. Additionally, I recently discovered that the audio Jack for the phone in the front allows you to be able to hear your phone’s audio output through your connected headphones, which is great if you’re in between games and want to watch YouTube, but don’t want to wake your spouse or roommate.

Great-sounding, light headset with a decent mic.
Headset only review. Audio quality: 5 stars (price considered) Mic quality: 4 stars Comfort: 5 stars Build quality: 4 stars Summary: Great-sounding headset with a decent mic. Light and comfortable enough to wear for hours without fatigue. My only complaint is that the buod quality seems cheap, but that may have been a result of trying to keep the headset light. 4 stars. Details follow: Audio quality: Good, but not audiophile. It has well defined bass, and well balanced mids. I found the treble to not be as clear as I'm accustomed to with my favorite headphones (which are not a headset) , but I expected that based on the frequency response advertised. That said, this is the best-sounding headset with a microphone I've ever owned. Mic quality: the microphone is definitely better than the built in microphone on your laptop. That said it's not at the quality of professional mics, either. Overall, mine seemed a little bit muddy sounding, and carried little of the depth of any of the XLR microphones I own (both condesor and cardio types). That said, it seemed to work much better for speech-to-text applications than my built-in microphone, and other members in audio calls could hear me clearly. Build quality: probably my single biggest hangup with this headset, and maybe it's not even fair, but these feel very light and cheap. Mostly made of plastic, these have a very non-premium feel to them, especially when compared to other Yamaha audio products I own. That said, I haven't seen a wave of breaking complaints, so this could have been an attempt at lightness for wearing comfort but still resulted in a sturdy headset, so take my complaint with a grain of salt. Comfort: I found these to be light and comfortable for hours of wear. My only complaint is the microphone being visible in my peripheral vision, but that expected for every headset built like this, so I won't dock stars for it. To Yamaha: a nice to have feature add would be to allow the microphone to rotate out of the way without having to change it's shape by bending the boom. In addition, providing an XLR microphone variant for this would be awesome. Check the top of this review for my summary!

Great For KJ's
As a karaoke host, I wanted headset with a boom mic that would allow me to hear the out going mix of music, vocals, and effects clearly minus all the ambient noise of a crowded bar. In-ear bud style monitors are nuisance to work as I need to keep taking them out to speak with singers. Headphones, I can flip to the side and back easily. When these are on my ears I get great sound and good reduction in room noise.

Perfect for PS5/Gaming PC setups
First off, this mixer is SMALL, but it does the job! It works FLAWLESSLY with a condenser microphone! Has no static on PS5 and PC and the audio can be adjusted for both audio sources. Wish it had more FXs for voices, but nonetheless, it's the perfect mixer for PS5 and PC.

I dont love it I dont hate it
This box is great for basic function with an XLR mic. It does offer some interface that doesnt require you to get too deep into it like the GoXLR mini I have but it does lack a lot of quality of life options. One would be the actual gain of the mic. You have 3 options for the gain of your mic. Thats pretty rough considering other interfaces give you a lot more control plus the windows option so you can really dial in your background sound and function. The plus is you can plug in a console without any complicated steps. Too bad I dont have any consoles so for a 2 PC set up I can run the streaming rig as a stand alone audio pc without having to have it running. The software is 70% of the crutch with this one. They really need to make it more customizable with more actual gain control. Other than that its a great little box. Easier and intuitive to use software makes it preferable over my GoXLR mini thats for sure.

Why is this not getting the hype it deserves.
I've been using this for years, I've used pretty much every gamer related Amp, DAC, software and app for all the well known brands everybody knows about. But this one is by far the most user friendly and has every type of feature that I would want in an multi use audio device. It also has a software download to use with it to fine tune all of the inputs and outputs, but very user friendly. And once it's set you can just use the device it self which I prefer. I started getting annoyed with all the popular brand headsets with all their constant updates and bugs that mess with the system settings that cause other issues. I'm not sure why this device is not talked about more but I would totally recommend it to anyone and I hope they continue to make products like this in the future. Every Yamaha product I have purchased has always exceeded my expectations.

Almost Perfect
Yamaha ZG01 does a wide range of what I need it to do but it does lack one major feature, auto power on. I found it made the ZG01 a disappointment, its rather you always have it on or manually power it on each time. I have it only setup on my computer and I found myself leaving it powered on all the time. There was no specific information on why they couldnt automatically power up when power is detected. Besides that, the audio is great, the features are solid and the software that come with it comes with a wide range of features. I personally love the build in gate so that my keyboard is muted when I am typing.
