Sturdy, good quality, excellent!
Got the mouse in a refurbished status, which turned out to be better than expected. There are barely any signs of wear and tear on it! The mouse is made with good quality material, the roller ball is sturdy/sturdier than other versions (like the M575). -The design is nice, sturdy, and gives the mouse a "heavy" feeling. It sticks to the desktop and doesn't slide, which make it easier to use. The two-angle setting makes it work with your writs tilt preference. -The connection is through the Unifying receiver or Bluetooth. The scrolling button can also navigate back and forth when browsing online. -The accuracy of the scrolling button is good but could've been more precise. It is a bit difficult to select text in a sentence using it. -The two function buttons can be mapped to several functions, including audio/volume up/down, which makes that you don't have to switch to the keyboard just to adjust the audio while using the mouse! -The battery lasts for a good time on a single charge. Though the connection is not a USB-c. It would be nice if it was a USB-C type so it would be compatible with much of the stuff nowadays. -Can't comment much about the wrist pain, but it definitely makes it easier on the shoulders! You don't have to move your hand when you use it, since the roller ball does all the movement!

It Is More Ergonomic & Feels Natural
I used to have the M570 trackball. Loved it. I had several, actually. But I felt it was time to get something new. Something possibly better? I didn't even know they made the MX Ergo. I did a little research and thought, "Yeah, I think I will get that one." So I did. When I got it, everything was smooth. No problems setting up or charging it, Solid buy. But then it was the clicking. The clicking that I could not get over how loud it was. Left click and it is all you hear after a while. I kept thinking, "I will get used to it, it'll go away, it's not that bad, oh well just deal with it, etc." But the clicking was distracting. It wasn't loud in the traditional sense, it is just... noticeable. When I buy a premium mouse, I don't want to have the clicking sound be super noticeable. It can absolutely be present, but not distracting. I watched a view videos on YouTube on how to quiet the clicker. I was like, "Naw, no way. Not for me. I just got this mouse and I am not taking it apart and messing around with those pieces inside. No way." Then last Saturday night, I said, "I am taking this thing apart and I messing with those pieces inside." Something had to be done. Now, I am an electronics person, so taking it apart and figuring out how to undo the ribbon cables and such was not so difficult. But, for some, I imagine it could be very difficult. Anyway, it was either that or soldering new silent switches on it. Which I was prepared to do and still might do. Anyway, I get inside the little clicker switch box, tinker around with the top metal piece that you need to lower and.... it worked. Put it back together and now I can focus on more important things. Like how silent the clicking is.... that's my life though. That's how it works. One constant revolving door. Anyway, still gave it five stars. Love the programmable buttons. Saves ample time and it truly feels better in your hand. Plus, unlike the M570 it has this rubbery coating that isn't just straight plastic. So that helps with the comfort. Feels solid too. The thing stays put and it's solid. Should have given it 4.5 stars cause of the clicking, but I know it won't bother everyone and it is a great mouse so 5 stars.

A solid upgrade from the last generation
As a refurbished item, it's is very hard to tell it was ever used. The packaging was complete with manuals, parts, cables and of course the mouse. No scuffs, no gunk in the ball area scroll wheel, and everything works. It was a simple plug and play into my windows 10 laptop. The added Plus wedge made the Ergo a perfect match for my hand position. I drafted for 3 straight hours this morning and didn't need to stretch once. The ball seems to be identical to the last version in tracking and gunk collection. The only downside is the inability for me to push the ball out with just my pinky finger like I used to. Now I need to find myself a Bic pen to pop it out from underneath. Buttons are properly tacktile and clicky. Scroll wheel is much improved with less clack when zipping through a document, though the indents are more subtle and less annoying. Switching from Bluetooth to the mini receiver is seamless. Great for the docking station when I want to combine mouse and keyboard, and then grab the mouse and laptop to go to a meeting without worrying about anything sticking out of my laptop. The only downside is no place to store the receiver on the mouse itself. Luckily with the Bluetooth feature, I don't see myself taking the receiver out of the dock anyways. The texture on the mouse offers a solid grip, which I didn't realize I would need. Now that the mouse is at an angle, without the grip, my hand would probably constantly slide off. I'll update if the battery is less than stellar. If it hits anywhere close to 3 months of use, I'd be quite happy with it. Go ahead and give this a try, though I'd suggest getting it for under $70 as it's nowhere near a $99 mouse.

I was having severe, constantly worsening wrist and forearm pain. I suspected that it was from a high level of computer use, but wasn't sure. I eventually decided that I had to try something and bought one of these to see if it would help. Within about a week of use the pain was gone. I remain totally astounded. I recommend that ANYONE who sits at a computer for extended periods of time get one of these, pain or not. Don't risk it: spend the money and get this ultra premium products and save yourself the trouble and literal pain.
