Beautiful once set up
So one thing to know about Longer printers - they are very basic. There's not fancy features to make it plug and play. That being said, once they're set up they run *beautifully* and are reliable workhorses. I bought this one because I've had an LK4 pro for years and wanted something with a larger print area. This has a huge build volume at an entry level price, a combination that can't be beaten. Unlike it's predecessor it comes with a dual cooling fan setup out of the box, which is very nice if you've got filament or a design that requires ample cooling. The springs for leveling the bed are disappointing, but a silicone spring kit recommended by another reddit user took care of that without issue. I upgraded out of the box and also added a BLtouch sensor and updated with their official firmware to implement it, the Longer official dual-z kit (to reduce sagging and such with such a large print area), hardened steel nozzle, and magnetic PEI bed. I printed the bracket for mounting the BLtouch sensor on my LK4 pro, and used a design I found online for free, although their customer support also provided me a bracket for the same purpose after i had already installed using this one. The dual z brackets are slightly different shape, and the BLtouch ABL sequence caused some issues where the screw holding one of the wheels on was crashing into the bracket, resulting in inaccurate height measurements for that whole edge of the bed. Replacing the stock m5x25mm bolt and lock nut with an m5x20mm bolt and normal nut with some loctite resolved that. The wheels for the y axis needed to have their eccentric spacers adjusted to tighten up along the track, something I discovered after many frustrating hours of not being able to get it to work. Their customer service WhatsApp support was able to guide me through figuring that out and once done it worked great. Benchy? No. I skipped straight to printing a storage unit for my older daughter's aphmau meemeows. 11x11x6". Printing slow to make sure the printer was set up well, we're now just shy of 130 hours in and it's coming along beautifully. Perfectly. I'm printing in PETG currently at 245C/80C and it looks flawless. If you're someone who is willing to actually learn what you're doing rather than mindlessly turning a machine on... These cannot be beaten. As space permits... I'll be back for another to add to my Longer machine collection.

Great 3d printer for everyone
I’ve been using the Longer LK5 Pro for a while, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance, especially for the price. The setup was straightforward since the printer comes about 90% pre-assembled perfect for someone like me who's newer to 3D printing. The large build volume gives me a lot of flexibility to print bigger models or batch-print smaller ones, which is great for both prototyping and fun hobby prints. The prints are consistently clean and have good detail, thanks to the stable triangular frame and quiet drivers. It runs quietly enough to keep it in my office without being distracting. The bed holds prints well and heats evenly, so I’ve had fewer warping issues compared to other printers I’ve tried. I also appreciate the filament runout sensor and resume function which is really handy when prints take 10+ hours and there’s a risk of power outages or filament running out.One thing I really like is how open-source the firmware is. I haven’t tinkered too much yet, but it’s nice to know I can customize the machine further down the line. Overall, the LK5 Pro is a solid mid-range printer that feels beginner-friendly but has features you can grow into. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a larger print volume without a crazy price.

Great starter 3D printer
This 3D printer is excellent for children, young people and adults. If you want to get into the world of 3D printing. Great for a beginner. Just be careful with the step and patient - do it several times to make sure it’s correct. My daughter who is 13 loves that she can manage all her prints on her phone and it alerts her of any errors so not much time is lost. My daughter said that so many neat things you can make with this machine. This was my husband and I first 3D printer and our first step into the 3D printing world. Now teens and parents are having so much fun with this. Looking forward to getting more filament to try out with it.

No where near 90% or 95% assembled NOT FOR BEGINNERS
Longer Lk5 pro was not anywhere near 95% assembled. And not very easy to assemble either. Nor is it easy to use. Not recommended for beginner and first time 3D printers. Also doesn't come with any user manual, just vague assembly instructions with bad pictures and lacking details.

Built well, but a little squeaky - bring some oil
Not too hard to set up, easy to dial in. Only gripe is the bed needs to be manually leveled. After playing with this printer for over a month, I can comfortably say that I will be buying a second one in a few months in order to speed up my printing capability. The bed is spacious, it's easy to set up if you have 2-3 hours of time to sit and read through the instructions.I HIGHLY recommend getting a little bit of lubrication for the rod that moves the nozzle up and down, mine had 0 lubrication and made an audible noise, but adding the lubrication remedied that problem instantly and it's been great.Running this out in the garage has allowed for very quiet printing, no disturbances, and I will enjoy when I buy my second one when the opportunity arises.

Great Beginner-Friendly 3D Printer — Clear Setup and Helpful Video Guide
The Longer LK5 Pro is a solid choice for beginners, especially with its large build volume and easy setup. The instructions are clear, and I highly recommend watching the official setup video — it helped a lot during assembly. One tricky part is installing the limit switch: make sure the nozzle just touches the bed before attaching it for proper calibration. Also, while there isn’t a traditional T-nut slot for the Z-axis leadscrew, there’s a groove that fits it snugly — just install it into that groove. Overall, I’m happy with the printer and would definitely recommend it for anyone new to 3D printing.
