Really cool but tedious and time consuming to assemble. Well worth the effort

Great quality, but VERY hard to build! Takes lots of effort and braincells. I have little of either so it wasn't really my thing, but if you love technical things this is for you!

Firstly, my name is Mike and this is the third Rolife DIY Kit I've made. I started with Cat House (DG149), then built Happy Camper (DGM04), and just a week ago completed Simon`s Coffee (DG109). Of the three, this kit is the most complex and time consuming. If you have never built a Rolife DIY Kit before let me tell you my thoughts. First of all, the finished kit is much cuter that any picture can show. The small details are amazing. As far as building the creations go, let me assure you that the fit and finish of the kit is superb. The various pieces fit together with precision! The wooden pieces are cut with a laser and the paper pieces are drawn with one. If something does not fit, you have something wrong! All sounds good right....well there is a subject that is poorly done, unfortunately. That would be the instructions and `photos`. Each assembly is constructed and depicted individually. A parts list is included. But, as with many products from China, the usage of the English language is sometimes hard to follow. Fortunately, the use of written instructions is minimal. That leads the constructer to the photos. They are grainy and not very sharp. I found it hard to rely on the pictures because the details of the build was not obvious. Let me give you an example... lets say you are constructing a box. The wooden pieces are easy to locate and cut out. But, to make a box the `end` pieces are attached to the longer, front and rear pieces. But are the smaller pieces glued to the end or on top of the longer pieces?? Some people may not know how to do this....so here is where the detail of the photo comes in. This is definitely an area of these kits that could stand improvement. But, don't let this discourage you. If need be, construct the part without out glue and see what it looks like. After all, this shouldn't`t be easy and it makes you prouder when people comment on your creation. I hope someone found my opinions helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this kit. I’m obsessed with miniatures so when I found this kit I was blown away. I think the price is very reasonable for what you get. It is organized so well and the instructions are really good. I will say that I had to go on YouTube and watch someone make just 2 things. At times the picture in the instructions is just a tiny bit unclear. But overall I had very few issues following the directions. This project took many days and required lots of patience but I loved it. Would 100% recommend this product.

I just bought this kit a week ago after mulling over several diy miniature kits from a variety of companies. I have very little experience with any miniature kits, aside from Billy Handmade kits. But I really thought this one looked neat, and while assembling it will be a lengthy process, Rolife has everything in the box organized very nicely. The smaller pieces are separated into numbered bags and the instructions tell you exactly which bag specific pieces are in, and they tell you exactly which pieces are needed in order to assemble different pieces of furniture and other accessories. There are wooden pop-out pieces on two different sheets of plywood, but there are included diagrams so that you know exactly which pop-out pieces correspond to the assembly instructions. Others have complained that the instructions are too hard to follow and that they aren't very clear, and that it was really difficult to sort through and find each piece, which couldn't be further from the truth. Rolife's system of organization and marking the pieces is very clear and very well-done. I really look forward to working on and completing this kit!

I bought the Coffee House Kit, and I have to say the quality of parts and instructions are very high compared to it's competitors. Quite a nicely put together kit, very enjoyable to make. The printed paper for overlay is NOT glossy, which is perfect for reducing a weird/cheap glare upon turning lights on, this was a problem that I encountered on other kits from Amazon. Could use a bit more lights, and some of the plant pieces are very hard to cut as it requires you to cut 2 pieces and glue them back to back. However, the newer kits seem to have dealt with this by printing front and back. Expect about a good 40+ hours assembling, especially if its your first time.

I wanted so bad to love this one like I loved my bakery! You have to glue every little tiny piece and all furniture, make flowers, fold microscopic boxes that are all poor quality. I totally gave up on trying to do the stools or chairs and table. They give you this flimsy wire that doesn’t hold. I had to order things off Etsy to try to make up for those. I think it’s really cute and has a lot of character I just wish the pieces and papers were better quality. The instructions were confusing and all over the place but I could typically figure it out. I did paint a wall white just to cover it up with paper. I already bought a new one without finishing this one because I have to wait for additional pieces to complete it since what they provided was too cheap and impossible.

She has enjoyed building this thing since I gave it to her. She builds in short spurts and just gets so geeked about the whole thing. When she is finished, she says she is going to decorate the exterior wall with graffiti.

As advertised. Great model kits

This was pretty fun to do, you need a-lot of patience. One thing I did not like was explanations, way to many back and forth between manuals, coordinating what goes where. One sheet in particular is cutout paper pictures to glue on different things (furniture etc) this was horrible, cant imagine a senior doing this AT ALL! Speaking for me only I love it.

Very frustrating!! I’ve made 6 other kits from Rolife and really enjoyed making them. This particular kit was very difficult to make because the entire thing is DIY, like painting the outside structure, cutting out all the paper pieces, tiny and bigger, none of the wooden pieces were tongue and groove like all the rest of the kits. There was no double sided tape, everything needed to be glued together. I’ve spent way too many hours on this kit and I’m nowhere near finishing it. Not enjoying this at all:(

I loved making this. Our first date was at a local starbucks so i created little clay figures of us sitting on the table just like our first date and it turned out so beautiful. I saw a similar product all of etsy and tons more of these on amazon but decided to pick up this one i guess it may have been the best price. Not only was it a joy to make, turns out to be a centre piece of our room!

This is the third recent purchase from Amazon that was not as advertised. So many issues with this build I questioned whether it was an authentic product. Three stars because if it is a knock-off, it's still decent quality and looks great. I think I was a little spoiled with the Kiki's magic emporium as my first build. This one was not as good.
