inexpensive but equal to more costly brands

Great value. You get a lot more for your money that with zipper top bags. Also you can fit larger rye bread in these.

Not as good as brand name for food, fine for litter box

5 stars for size, value and packaging. These are noticeably thinner than namebrand sandwich bags, but at least as large, with a generous flap, and they don’t split or tear with normal use. For me, that is a plus - less bulk is better for me and the environment. I use for freezing as an inner bag to separate portions, or for sandwiches that don’t need to last long. I use zipper bags if I’m concerned about keeping bread fresh. I also use these as “disposable gloves” when handling raw poultry for example - easy on, easy off. They come packaged in 4 small boxes that arrived undamaged - the boxes are sturdy enough, easy to open, and bags come out ok, although sometimes you get more than one at a time. However, particularly at this value price I did not deduct for that. Highly recommended.

Great deal on simple plastic bags.

I bought 300 sandwich bags in Shoprite four years ago and I have 3 bags left. Now they only sell their crappy Paperbird brand and I didn’t want to take a chance. I read reviews for bags from other stores nearby and none sounded good. I bought these Kitchen Collection bags and compared them to my Shoprite ones. These are either the same thickness or possibly very slightly thinner. It’s hard to tell. They have no odor.. Shoprite doesn’t say where their bags were made, so they may have been made in China as well. They are exactly the same size. The bottom fold you tuck the flap into is much larger on these bags. I’ve always used sandwich bags in the freezer, but inside heavier bags. I used them to freeze some amounts of garlic, herbs, chopped onions, peppers, etc. and olives that I buy in bulk. They seem to stretch without tearing. I haven’t used them yet. I’ll come back to update this review if there’s any problem.

These were wanted for a particular task but the delivery took so long to arrive, they were not used at all.
