This is a great book for learning how to model in AutoCAD. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was due to it having very little, if any, information regarding practical design layouts and referencing files such as images and/or PDF's. I have found that these things are much more prevalent in the everyday professional use than some of the modeling/layout techniques taught in this book.Other than missing those couple of things, this book is a great step by step learning manual for basic AutoCAD use, and is perfect for getting your feet wet in the program before moving on to more complex projects and blueprint layouts.

It was geared towards architects. I am a tool designer. I won't say it was a total waste of time & money, but it was close.

This was a great book and I highly recommend to anyone considering learning about parametric modeling. Covers many topics from floor plans to Geneva cams and utilizes different features of auto cad in each project to show the programs flexibility.

Decent tutorial manual.
