Monin - Irish Syrup - 250ml

Great syrup to boost your coffee without the alcohol. Monin Irish syrup has a nice flavour to it although I’ve only used it in coffee

I have been a huge lover of the Costa Irish Velvet Hot chocolate and as this was becoming obsessive and costly, someone suggested to purchase the flavoured syrup and make it at home. I was lucky enough to source a decent branded version on Amazon as such, and although there were mixed reviews about the taste, I honestly, absolutely love it. If your making it as a flavoured hot chocolate the it definitely tastes like the Costa one (providing you use decent hot chocolate, recommend Cadbury’s or Galaxy).

Tastes like the cheapest, crappiest, worst tasting booze you can imagine, except it is without the alcohol content. Associating it with anything Irish is deeply offensive. It is just utterly disgusting. I put 1 tsp into my coffee and felt like puking the whole afternoon. The absolutely worst taste Monin have ever created and Im otherwise a big fan of the brand and use several of their syrups, but this one is just OMG, words cant do justice regarding how awful this is. Ended up in the bin. Absolutely utterly horrible.

I got this item from Amazon as I enjoyed the taste of Monin and thought I tried this one, which is Irish Syrup, created especially to mimic the taste of Irish Cream or Irish Coffee but without the alcoholic element. As this product does not contain any alcohol at all, this will be fine for children to have as well as adults. You can add little or more of the syrup of your coffee or other hot beverage depending on your preferred taste. You can also make interesting and marvellous mocktails with this syrup using recipes on the Internet provided by Monin. This bottle is 250ml or 25l making it medium size and ideal for the average household as the larger bottles would be so big. This flavour tastes more like butterscotch but has a little mint note and it is very enjoyable, even bitter coffee will taste better with this sweet syrup mixed in very well. I enjoyed having this with my coffee and for people with adventurous taste I would highly suggest buying this. Very delicious and must have for flavour lovers.
