This carb will fit the 91'-96' Honda XR250L. The carb worked as intended when installed, but some parts are a little out of spec. This required me to swap some parts from the original carb I was replacing... I had to swap the cable bridge that holds the choke cable in place. The butterfly wheel on the carb was also out of spec which stretched both throttle cables slightly more than the stock configuration. I think the holes for the throttle cable knarps were machined just a little further than original. My throttle doesn't feel as snappy as it could be as a result. I will probably be swapping this part from the original. On my particular carburetor the slide was a little sticky which was allowing the throttle to stick, I will probably swap it with the original carb slide. Aside from those issues the carb ran well and allowed my bike to run as intended. Originally I bought the JDLLONG carb because the original carb was causing some bogging and stalling issues and hard starting even after cleaning and replacing the jets. I think I will rebuild the original carb and then compare the carbs to see which one is actually a better buy. Aside from the carb all of the accessories are good quality. The fuel line and carburetor venting hoses were all good quality. I didn't install my fuel filter but it looks to be good as well. The petcock that comes with this kit will not work on the original XR250L metal gas tank but it will work if you have a plastic tank. TLDR: My particular carb was out of spec, which is not what I was hoping for but wasn't something I didn't expect to happen. The carb will need some TLC to fit and work correctly. All of the accessories are decent and worked as intended. Internally the carb seems to work well and fuels the bike well. Edit: I ended up swapping ALL of the internals from the JDLLONG carb into the ORIGINAL carb. I swapped all of the OLD parts from the ORIGINAL carb into the JDLLONG carb. I tested the JDLLONG carb before modifying the carb in any way, and it worked well. After the modification of swapping parts, I now have two working carbs. I have the piece of mind that my original carb is updated with new internals. I also have the piece of mind that I have a function backup carburetor. I found out that the JDDLONG slide was sticky because the slide arm was slightly bent.

This would have been a perfect solution for replacing the carburetor on my 2004 Honda XR250. The quality and fitment are great, but the product description needs to make it clear that this version will require the addition of a choke cable. Otherwise quite impressed with what you get for the money.
