Unfortunately, this is the second time I used this mold kit. I had a past roof leak a couple of years ago, and more recently, a guest ran a hot water shower for close to an hour to steam clothes. Each time I had mold -- just the smell, but not visible. In the first case, the test proved accurate and led me to get verification and mitigation via a professional service. More recently, I undertook self cleaning . I had mold (and mold smell) before cleaning despite not being visible. After cleaning, the smell went away and I gained confidence of the cure via this mold kit. It is inexpensive, easy-to-use, and quick compared to other self-test kits I researched or used. It is also inexpensive.

These actually work! Make sure you read and follow the instructions that come with the kit, I had mold show up on every dish 😅 thank God we rent and can move. These are worth buying! It was sort of hard for me to tell what kind of mold it is, but Mold is mold so it doesn’t matter to me. The booklets came with great pictures and information about the different molds.

Good quality for the money. Only issues were hard to determine what types mold we found and the manual was put together out of order and upside down so was hard to read and follow directions

My in-laws house was built in the late 60's so I needed to test the house for lead. I used these ALL OVER the house, windowsills, base board, walls, basement, bathroom, everywhere and wasn't finding any lead. So I tried it on some lead solder on a pipe, and it worked perfectly. The color on the swabs was easy to see where the lead where there was not. These swabs made me feel better and that I'm lucky I don't have a lead issue in this house. I would recommend these swabs to anyone who thinks they may have lead in their house.

Easy to use, great value (I previously spent like $10 on a single test). Not a definitive diagnostic tool, but if you want to confirm if something is mold this is perfect. I used the swabs for some, and I did the airborne test, and the ventilation test methods. They all grew mold, some faster than others. My landlord has been brushing off my concerns of moisture and suspected mold for months. These tests helped me show them that my suspicions were correct (and yes I’m totally moving out now😂).

Listen these mold detector kits will grow anything!! In a new house it will grow something if left out on a counter for 3-4 days. If you touch the inside of the specimen tray or even breathe down on it, it stands a good chance it will grow something!! They want $40 to tell you what is growing ! Your best investment is to get an air test done by a professional mold expert. I had a small HVAC Freon leak and I thought I was smelling something. Mold was the only thing I thought I could smell that made sense to me. So , I had one thing grow after 3 days. And I then got an expert to come to my home. He had a bunch of equipment with him. He checked my whole house out. No mold anywhere. He told me these kits should be banned because they will grow something anywhere! He said outside the mold in the air will grow all kinds of weird stuff. So save yourself this trouble and not get scared because it grows. Get a real mold inspection. When it grows you will panic, so don’t get this crap. ** if your clothes don’t smell like mold- then you don’t have it. If you see any mold - then get an expert and save your money or him getting the mold out. Don’t buy this !! It’s a joke, because it will grow something- bronchitis or the Covid or the infection your pets had last week!!!

Didn't like they weren't individually sealed. Use them all at once

I’ve ordered these tests many times since originally identifying mold in my home after being sick for many years without docs figuring out what was wrong. After professional remediation in my home I continue to check to ensure the mold has not returned. I also have shared with other family to identify mold. Tests are easy to use and self identify type with the booklet sent with the tests. I found that this company is very reliable with their test! I’d highly recommend to everybody to test your home.
