Great value, small, versatile, and sturdy tripod
I was pleasantly surprised by the MALLRIG VT-20Pro mini tripod. Although it's small and rather cheap in price, it feels extremely solid and well engineered. This is not a flimsy travel accessory; it feels solid and well made. It is extremely good value and supports some lights and camera gear that other, bigger tripods, would not, due to the weight. It has a great 360° ball head, which is smooth, easy to adjust, and locks firmly in place. Once positioned, it holds the angle securely without any sagging or play, even when supporting heavier gear. I’ve tested it with a smartphone (using the included phone clamp), a camera, and LED panel, and it held them securely and confidently. Other tripods I have tried would fall over with the weight. The load rating of up to 5kg is realistic and not exaggerated. The tripod stays stable on a desk or table, and the legs have a reassuring weight to them that prevents tipping. The phone clamp is also well made, grips securely, and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. At 21.2 inches (53.8cm), it’s a great height for: desk filming video calls product photography livestreaming tabletop time-lapse shots It folds down neatly, making it easy to pack away or travel with. This is an excellent mini tripod for anyone who wants something compact but genuinely sturdy. It feels premium, performs well. Highly recommended. I liked it so much I bought another one, and use them for my phone, camera, and lights. I am also considering buying one more, just so everything is mounted at same heights and with similar sturdines.

Shockingly well built for the price
This is really well built product made with quality materials. It is small but suprisingly capable with plenty of options to adjust. Well designed, not too heavy and for the price you will not find better micro tripod.

Great mini-tripod for a desk-based Photobooth
I've been looking for a decent tripod for my photobooth for years, and this is my 4th iteration. The worst has been an expensive Manfrotto thing that was so unstable and wobbly that it was barely usable. I got this one because of the sheer volume of features, and that it could be used to support my Canon R6 with a 60mm L-series lens, which makes the combination pretty front heavy. The ball-head gives you all the flexibility you can ask for, and the quick-release needs to be done up tight when you have a heavyweight camera on it, or it'll be saved by the little stoppers. The three angles for the legs gives you plenty of low-height positioning, as does the stem, which you can remove and flip for ultimate low-height photography. The twist-to-extend legs take some getting used to, but once you do, it makes changing the height pretty easy. Rotation is smooth too, and you can adjust the resistance as you like it, although I don't mess with mine much. With a heavy camera, the tripod can be a bit unstable with the legs at their steepest setting, so make sure you have it stable before you walk away, as it might topple. I tend to put mine at the 2nd stop with the legs splayed wide, only using the steepest setting when I've got the legs fully extended. I think it's going to be the last desktop tripod I'll need unless my set-up changes markedly, and I like it so much I also picked up a full-height one from the same brand.

This product stands up to close scrutiny
I like technology that has a bit of weight, solidity to it. If you make an adjustment, I like it to definitely click or turn smoothly and importantly not feel cheap. This smallrig travel mini tripod meets all my criteria. It looks and feels great out of the box. I suspect that it will carry the weight it says it will and that once the legs are extended and splayed there will be little movement in it - a rather important attribute in a tripod. There were cheaper models than this one, and there were some much more expensive, using carbon or other less mundane materials. However, this appears to be good value for money. It is a fantastic option for photographers and travellers seeking a lightweight, portable, and durable tripod. Its small size and collapsible design make it easy to carry, whether you're hiking in the mountains, exploring city streets, or catching a flight to your next destination. It's particularly suited for those who prioritise mobility without wanting to sacrifice too much in terms of functionality and stability. For the price, it offers great value, especially for travellers who need a dependable tripod that won't weigh them down.

Excellent Quality.
I have a large size tripod and a medium size tripod but I wanted a small tripod for low level outdoor use and for table-top indoor use. This one does the job perfectly. It's small enough to fit into a lens compartment in my camera bag and it holds my camera as low as 17cm and as high as 52cm. It also fits neatly onto a window sill, which allowed me to take some great 30-seconds exposures of the recent aurora that was visible in south Dorset, without needing to go outside in the dark and set up. The quality is excellent and so is the design. Every action is smooth and positive. Setting it at any height takes seconds. It also comes with a smartphone holder.

Lovely mini tripod
I Own a few mini tripod but none that went up to the height this one does, I wanted it for my pocket 3, so I can place it in places and it stays stable. The only real gripe is the Carabina is the cheapest one I’ve ever seen and would be better off not being included in the first place And the phone holder is plastic and feels like it will snap not what you would expect from the smallrig brand. But I can still highly recommend the tripod which is beautifully manufactured and very easy to use.
