Beautiful and sturdy and functional! Very happy.
I really struggled to decide what I wanted in my new carryon! There are so many improvements nowadays. I was really tempted by the new wide handles, but I knew I needed to be able to strap on my puppy carrier and they aren't made for the wide handles yet. :( At least mine wasn't) So.... This one seemed to check off my other wants. Charge port with USB-C, cupholder (although I was skeptical about its durability), extra hooks for bags and stuff. But really what I was after was the trunk style! I had just returned from 10 days traveling to Ireland and Scotland (6 flights!) and was about to embark on 6 more flights stateside to visit kids. It was time to upgrade and this suitcase did not disappoint! My husband was rather annoyed that I didn't want to check my bag. Why have to "lug it around" he said. Well, there was no lugging with this! The wheels rolled so smoothly. My husband commented several times what a smooth 'ride' it was. And he kept taking from me! In fact, he wanted to hang HIS bag on it all the time. And I'm pretty sure he bought me the oversized water on purpose so he could use the cupholder for his coffee! After having to flop open my traditional suitcase on the floor to access anything, being able to simply set this carry on on the dresser and lift the "lid" was so nice! I was able to pack 7 days of clothes and two pairs of shoes, a jacket and my toiletry bag comfortably. No need for expansion! (Which they won't allow a carryon to be expanded anyway.) Even fully packed it wasn't so heavy I couldn't lift it one handed. And in 6 flights, mine was the only buttery yellow that I saw, you couldn't miss it. So you attach a portable battery pack in a small pocket inside the suitcase to use the external ports. Which is fine, just make sure it is fully charged. However, the very last flight (1 in 6!) demanded that I remove the battery at the gate when they were going to put it under the plane. Annoying. However! I was able to get right to it in under 60 seconds because it was so easy to lift the lid and get to it! And I didn't have to take up a bunch of floor space at the gate and expose my entire contents either. This carryon is a keeper. The wheels and handle feel sturdy and smooth. It's a pretty color: cheery but not obnoxious. I can spot it a mile away amongst the sea of suitcases. It was strong enough to support my husband's carry on while rolling. I still feel that the cupholder is the weakest thing on it, but it still functions smoothly, neatly and did it's job. I didn't have to hunt for or share a charging station at the airport. I am happy with this case and am considering getting the full size to check for bigger trips!

LOVE!!!
My ancient carry on soft side bag broke on my last trip, so I've spent countless hours reviewing and searching for the best replacement. The biggest complaint about luggage is the zippers break, and that's especially bad for hard shells. I also didn't like the design of the hardshells that zip in the middle with no access pocket on the outside like most soft sides have. That means that you have to expose all your stuff with 2 heavy sides to manage to open it. And if you have the expansion zipper system, that's even more problematic because it puts extra stress on the zippers. No wonder they break. Pros: THIS case has solved that zipper problem and it offers a lot of great features too. The cup holder is fantastic, very sturdy, stable, and it frees up my hands when need be. The wheels roll like butter in every direction. The extension telescoping handle is very sturdy too, no problems extending or retracting it. Don't use it to pick up your bag and you'll be fine. The bag has 2 handles top and side to make picking it up easy. The TSA locking system works beautifully and is well designed. The pop out bag holders and phone/ipad holder up by the handle is great, although I have no idea how much weight they can hold. That information would have been helpful in the instructions but alas, there weren't any. I love the deep box design so that it opens like a "lid" so all your stuff doesn't get exposed or fall out, and that "lid" is very light weight, with lightly padded pockets inside for organizing. Perfect to hold things you need easy access to. The shell itself is very sturdy, probably as close to unbreakable as can be. I read that magic erasers remove scuff marks easily, but I haven't needed to test that yet. As far as how much I can pack in it, it is a bit small but with compression cubes and a deep box design, I don't expect to have any trouble once I figure out how much fits and how to organize it. In fact I like this luggage so much I'm considering getting the 24" size for extended trips. Cons: The phone charger system has easy access with a cover to protect it so that's good. BUT no instructions were included in how to use it which is frustrating. The battery pack isn't included, so I bought a separate pack. The anker battery pack I chose didn't come with a charger so I had to go back and order one of those before I can even test it! wth? sigh. Because of that I haven't had a chance to use or test the phone charger thingy. I guess it works, if I can figure out how to connect everything. The luggage didn't come with instructions in how to use it. There are wires inside with 2 different plugs, but it's not clear to me how it all connects. Wishes: MIXI - please include instructions on how to use the battery pack and tell us how much weight the bag/phone holder on the handle can hold safely. That's ridiculous to not include that. It would be great if you bundled the luggage with the items we'll need too to make it easy. This kind of frustration is not the experience you want your customers to have, am I right? Also, I'm now searching for a duffle underseat stackable bag to fit on top of this one. It would have been great if MIXI offered them as a bundle or at least as an option designed to fit this luggage. So far I've tried 5 different underseat options from different brands, and am not delighted with any of them. Bottom line is, I LOVE THIS LUGGAGE! I've had a great time showing it off to friends, and everyone wants one too. :-) I have not had the opportunity to test it in the real world on a trip yet, but I anticipate no problems when I do.

Ideal carry on for ships, trains, planes, cars and hotels that is big inside
After seeing an influencer youtube video, we decided to give this a try, as I truly hate dealing with clamshell cases. They end up on the floor of hotel rooms and I dash my feet on them, they are difficult to close and have other issues. But this Mixi model will hold just as much {really!} is easy to pack and won’t be in the way in a hotel room. We recently ued it to fly to NY, spend a week there, took the QM2 to Southampton {with some formal wear}, spent a week in England and another In Scotland, with my wife using only this bag and a personal item. Fits well into the overhead on our several flights. Well made, great materials and sturdy. Good wheels that were OK on rough streets although it is also not hard to carry The avocado color is fun and easy to identify. Fits well on British trains. The fun cupholder and handle hooks gained admiring eyes from others. You will need good compression bags for a long trip like ours, but we just loved the versatility and how compact this bag is. The single zipper is very high quality and the locking system is perfect. Done with clamshells! Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Everything I was expecting from this suitcase
I had done a lot of searching for a good carry-on bag and when I bought this, I tested it out in my living room with a cup in the holder to make sure it was good. The main part was making sure the cup holder was good and reliable. The cup in the pic is a Grande cup from Star@#ks and it held up well without any spillage. A Venti cup without the sleeve fits perfect in the holder as well. The video I have shows it going over a small lip in the Atlanta airport with no issues. The USB and USB-C ports work well and below is the power bank I purchased and would recommend because it fits well in the bag and charges the phone quickly. INIU Portable Charger, Slimmest 10000mAh 5V/3A Power Bank. The two tabs at the top of the extended handle designed to hold your phone are ok but you have to balance the phone perfectly and one small bump will make the phone fall but this is not exactly a selling point for me. The outer shell is stronger than usual carry-ons and the wheels are good, especially with 2 wheels for each corner. I rolled this through numerous airports and a couple times, I had to roll it for a few blocks across a road and bricks and it held up well. My old bag was an even split on both sides and this one is just one but the amount of space is the same. It took some getting used to packing everything into one side but it's still very good. I won't check this bag so the locks are not as much of a selling point for me but I like to have them available. The bag has the 4 tabs on the side to lay your bag down in the overhead although the airline I fly makes you lay it flat which defeats the purpose of the tabs but I like having them there for the option. All in all, this is a great bag and I would definitely recommend, especially if you are doing trips between 2-4 nights.

Great case but 10” deep
I bought this because all of our carry on cases exceed the 22x14x9 size limitations. In their common “Race to the Bottom” of our Airtravel industry we were warned that starting 2026 the Airlines are starting to strictly enforce their newest limitations and open up another auxiliary revenue stream by redefining our carry on cases as checked bags - i wanted to have one where I didn’t have to worry about. Right after opening the box I measured and sadly its 10” deep. It might be fantastic and looks cool but it is too large by one inch to be 100% safe. I am sure though that 90+% of all existing carry on cases exceed the size limitations too and this one will comfortably fit in any actual overhead bin.

Useful, durable, pretty
This was my second piece by this company (Mixi is just an offshoot of Hanke) I had the Hanke carryon with laptop compartment on the front which was trunk style like this but awkward to get open so I sold it and bought this one instead with no regrets. I fly 2 night trips for work frequently and I have plenty of room leftover for more stuff if I took a longer trip. I’ve never had to check it, it looks just as pristine as the day I unwrapped it. I love the trunk style opening for hotel luggage racks which are not well designed for the clamshell style suitcases. I’ve had no problem with the cup holder and the charger while slow does work (you have to buy your own battery to plug in on the inside to charge through the port on the outside). Being so flat it’s great for setting things on it and they don’t tip over/fall off. Not sure if it’s the suitcase handle or my personal item but the trolley sleeve on my personal items has been a kind of tight fit.

Absolutely fantastic carry-on bag
I love everything about this bag. I looked at basically everything on Amazon that had these features I wanted. All the functionalities work perfectly and are sturdy. The bag rolls like it floats and the size is perfect. Why would I say perfect… that’s subjective. Not in the case where it is advertised as a carry-on. Watch careful because most have dimensions that are not actually good for overhead bins. That’s why I had to look through so many. I can tell you this has fit like a dream in every overhead bin I put it in for Delta, American, and Jet Blue. I hope this helps

The best carry on I own!
I travel for work and also vacation. Hate clamshell carry ones. This carry in is soo spacious, zips smoothly, rolls better than my away bag, and the colors are striking making it easy to detect if you decide to check a bag! Great price! I just love it!
