Nearly forgot to write about this fantastic little addition to night times! I come from a family of insomniacs and worriers I thinkso always having problems with my sleep! So does my daughter. I’ve done various relaxation techniques and took natural herbal alternatives to sleeping tablets, but sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. So thought I’d try this ‘white noise’ machine I’ve heard others mention before. I’ve had different sounds on my phone to go to sleep to but didn’t like the fact that if I fell asleep, my phone is still on. That’s no good for you either. So it was great i could find a gadget that already has these sounds build in. The machine itself seems well designed and light weight. Not too big so fits nicely on bedside table. It’s very easy to use. You can go through the different sounds, ranging from different kinds of white noise, called grey , pink etc, through to wildlife sounds, weather and the sea. You can put it on a timer of 30, 60, and 90 minutes so you can fall to sleep and not worry about it staying on all night! There’s different levels of sound too which is handy. The sound quality is good enough considering it’s compact design. It also comes with a usb wall plug and cable so can be charged, and also an instruction book. I didn’t need to read the booklet as quite straight forward to use. I’ve been going through them to see which ones are most effective. I certainly know what others are talking about now with this white noise sound. It certainly helps empty your mind. I love to listen to the sea ones too. Most of the sounds do the job and are very relaxing. The last week or so I’ve let my elder daughter use it whilst in Tenerife as she is having severe problems sleeping. She is also very happy with it. She probably won’t let me have it back now. I will have to get another. Very pleased with it!

Many thanks for a great product with clear sound and lots to choose from - 20 different options. I love the timer feature too as I can fall asleep to it without it continuously playing or the length being too short. It's a nice slim unobtrusive design which fits perfectly on my white bedside table without spoiling the decor. It's very lightweight and easy to move around the house or give to my children to use as a comforter and sleep aid as they sometimes wake in the night. It has two lullabies/soft music options at the beginning which is great for them. I've also been using as a relaxation aid to destress in the aid by lying down, closing eyes and listening to the sounds for ten minutes. It's a great natural way to destress rather than turning to wine like most adults!

Having read up on the AuCuTee White Noise machine, I thought it would be a good investment... but sadly having used it on just three nights, it has now been tucked away in a drawer, probably never to be used again. It was annoying to say the least and despite trying various sounds – it meant I got up two or three times each night to change them! – it made my sleep even worse than it was before. Sorry, but it's not for me and a waste of £30.

I loved the look of this item when I ordered it, looked to do everything I needed and it arrived pretty quickly too. I liked everything about this item apart from the fact that the sounds are crackly and sound very low quality which goes against the rest of the product as it's very well made and looks of very good quality. I love the fact it's portable too. My son was actually frightened by the sound of the man shushing ha ha ha! I will try and use this with my newborn in the pram when out and about and hopefully it won't just get left on the side. It wasn't relaxing purely down to the quality of the noise, if that was sorted this would have 5 stars!

The AuCuTee White Noise machine is perfect for those who are struggling to get to sleep or relax in the evenings. We have a 10-month-old baby and she is currently teething really badly! She is waking up every night between 2-3 am and will not go back to sleep so obviously we are absolutely shattered! Popping the white noise machine on and setting it to the clock ticking means that Lottie is happily soothed back to sleep. The fact the machine has 20 different sounds to play means that we can swap and change them to suit Lottie. I love the fact you can have the machine play all the time or can set a timer for 30, 60 or 90 minutes knowing that when she drops off, we don’t have to go in and switch the machine off! It’s also portable and light weight so we can take it away with us when we need to. A negative for us would be the cable length as it’s not quite long enough to reach from the plug socket to the shelf in her room but that is really minor! We are definitely getting more sleep and my partner has started using the machine to use as a relaxation method so it’s helping us all at the moment! Well worth the money!

This does the quite basic job of providing white noise but I have a few bug bears: 1) the plug provided was incorrect. As it linked to a usb cable this wasn’t a major problem but does mean my spare phone charger currently missing a plug and I need to buy another one 2) the machine has a VERY dim light. For a machine that’s supposed to aid sleep, I don’t think it should have any light as sleep is aided by a pitch black room. It’s kind of handy to find the machine in the dark but would prefer no light 3) the volume needs resetting each time you turn it on. The default volume is too quiet so I need to turn the volume up each time. All the buttons are the same so I have to count to find the right one in the dark 4) the seal was opened when it arrived so not sure if it had been used previously Good things Does what it says on the tin Battery works Goes on for ages Just think it’s a bit overpriced for basic functionality

Love this sound machine, I wish I had of bought it a long time ago. The white noise seems to have helped me get off to sleep, when I wake in the morning I realise it's still playing. All the sounds are very good but it's a matter of preference to which one you want. It's very easy to use and understand, I would recommend it. Very good value.
