I am not a plumber. Let's just get that out of the way. My toolbox consists of a hammer, a screwdriver with a questionable tip, and a lot of hope. So when our new fridge arrived, the idea of hooking up the water line for the ice maker and dispenser filled me with a deep sense of dread. I bought this YUHX kit figuring I'd give it a shot before calling in a professional and admitting defeat. I am so glad I did! This kit is absolutely fantastic. The instructions were clear, the parts felt high-quality, and everything you need is right there in the box. The star of the show for me was the little blue pipe cutter. I was expecting to have to fight with the tubing, but this thing sliced through it like a hot knife through butter, giving a perfect, clean edge every single time. It made the job feel professional, even in my very unprofessional hands. Now, for the story. The installation was going so smoothly that I got a little cocky. My mother-in-law was "supervising," standing over my shoulder and offering helpful advice like, "Are you sure that goes there?" and "Don't forget to tighten it." I had just made the final connection to the back of the fridge. I slowly turned the valve under the sink just a crack to check for leaks. "I don't see any drips," I announced proudly. "Lean in closer, you have to be sure," she insisted, bending over right next to me for a better look. It was at that exact moment I realized I had forgotten to fully tighten the compression nut on the back of the fridge. The pressure built up for a split second before the tubing popped loose. A jet of ice-cold water shot out with the force of a tiny fire hose and scored a direct hit, square on my mother-in-law's bifocals. There was a moment of stunned silence, followed by a sputtering sound you only hear in cartoons. The cat shot out of the kitchen like a rocket. I scrambled to shut the water off, laughing so hard I could barely breathe. The best part? After we all dried off and she retreated to a "supervisory" position in the next room, it took me literally 30 seconds to properly tighten the fitting. No leaks, no drips, just perfect, clear water and the priceless memory of my mother-in-law looking like she'd been in a water pistol fight with a squid. 10/10 would recommend this kit. This refrigerator water line kit worked exactly as described. The 1/4" OD tubing was the right length (25 ft) and feels durable and well made. The quick-connect fittings made installation very easy, even for someone without much plumbing experience. I used it to connect my refrigerator ice maker, and it fit perfectly with no leaks. The compression fittings sealed well, and everything hooked up smoothly. It’s also compatible with reverse osmosis and water filter systems, which is a nice bonus. From Drips and Disasters to DIY Victory! We bought a brand-new fridge, exciting, right? Well, not for long. The copper tube (with its ferrule and compression nut) that came with our old setup gave us a mini horror show. First, I connect it while the fridge is still pulled out, and it seems okay… a few drips at first, then it stops. Victory? Nope. I slide the fridge back into place, watched an episode of a Korean series, come back and — surprise! There’s a puddle forming on my kitchen floor like my fridge was marking its territory. I dove into YouTube, fell into a rabbit hole of plumbing tutorials, and eureka, a flexible water line kit with simple push connectors! No wrenches, no guesswork, no surprise geysers. This refrigerator kit had everything: 25 feet of flexible tubing, push-to-connect fittings, a shutoff valve, even a little tube cutter that made me feel like I knew what I was doing. Installation was way easier than I expected, like adult Legos but for water. And guess what? No more drips. Not from the fridge, not from under the sink. And best of all? No plumber bill. If a guy like me, who thought “compression nut” sounded like a wrestling move, can pull this off, anyone can. 5 stars. And for the price, it saved my floor, my pride, and possibly my marriage.

I’ve had a bad experience with push in 1/4” fittings before so I was hesitant to try this kit, but was impressed with the quality of the connectors and the items that were included such as a very cool little tubing cutter also extra Farrells and fittings that made my ice maker hook up a breeze I wish they had a kit with the filter for the refrigerator included although I used another manufacturer’s filter with 1/4” tubing inlet’s that worked fine 25’ of tubing gave me enough to leave a 6’ self coiling loop behind the refrigerator coupled with one of the tubing 90 degree brackets supplied allows for the ability to slide your fridge in and out without worries if the water line being kinked or going underneath it just follows out the appliance and coils automatically to the back wall when you push the appliance back in. To me the most important thing is on the five connections made none leaked and will work for any refrigerator that will accept a screw on ferrel fitting, and that’s all of them.

Great package for connecting a water line to a refrigerator. The package contains lots of various components, making connections easier. I did have to go to the hardware store to buy a 3/8” to 1/4” compression fitting since that was the only thing missing. Still lots of spare parts leftover. No leaks after a week now.

Great kit with high quality components. The cutter is very sharp and cuts tubing very easily. Tons of line installation options including an entire compression fit kit and a compression fit conversion to push tube fitting. The shutoff valve is high quality and everything was very easy to push in and install. No clips came with the kit is the only downside IMO. Even if they aren't needed they are still a redundancy that's good to have.

This was an inexpensive solution to hook up the fridge ice and water, and no complaints. Lots of extra parts and tools included as well. The instructions aren't the greatest, but none of them are.
