Recoil survival for multiple day shoots
I have a history with tee shirts and long sleeve shirts with appropriate pocket for rifle shooting and these are a new version of an old favorite.

Save your shoulder
I have been a competitive sporting clays shooter for decades. My shoulder isn’t what it was and a recoil pad has taken on more importance. These make a world of difference. They fit inside the recoil pocket of my vests and I highly recommend them. As a long time shooter and an instructor, you might not be aware that recoil causes more missed targets as you unconsciously compensate for it.

Recoil Pad is Very Good
This recoil pad is functionally and practically excellent for most use. I have tested the pad with respect to two long guns. One is a rifle that is at the current high end of recoil given current civilian rifles in use in 2025. Civilian rifles include hunting and sport rifles and for tactical rifles that are versions of rifles that are in current or projected use for military applications. The other rifle is a civilian version of recent tactical rifles that currently fall into the generic AR-15 category. The pad provides excellent recoil protection generally. It fits very nicely into my shooting vest pocket. The pad is light weight and it is comfortable to use. When tested using the rifle that is at the high end of recoil the pad does not achieve the protection I would hope for. In summary, this pad is a very good acquisition in all of the important categories when using a long gun that is not at the very high end of recoil.

Initial Positive Reaction
Being the first recoil pad I have ever had, I am unschooled so I still don't know which side goes out and which belongs next to the shoulder! But I was immediately impressed with the size and thickness. Right away, I got the new shirt out to see if this pad would actually fit in the shoulder pocket. It does very nicely and snugly, so there is no slippage. Feels really good, too. I can also see that it is high quality and well made. I am eager to get to the range and try it out.
