Not as big as I thought but still daughter will love it for her birthday.

My young daughter has been collecting Hatchimals for a several years and she adores this rather sweet little cloud shaped basket with rainbow handle. The basket comes complete with 3 self-hatching eggs and 2 little Hatchimals characters. The self-hatching eggs are fun - there's an included baby bottle that you simply fill with water, then remove the dummy/pacifier on each egg and squirt water through the hole. The eggs crack on their own and the shell can be removed to reveal the Hatchimal inside. Funnily enough, as much as my daughter likes the self-hatching versions, she told me that she prefers the original eggs that need rubbing to hatch. There's 6 Hatchimals in the basket - I know some reviews mention there's only 5. However, anyone who has actually bothered to open them up will find the super cute, tiny twin Hatchimals are contained together in one egg :) It's a lovely little set, perfect for giving as an Easter gift, as it would make a lovely alternative to chocolate. My daughter loves the set and I'm sure other young Hatchimal collectors will equally delight in adding this to their collection.

Hatchimals Alive is a toy that creates excitement whilst the eggs hatch in water. But after that, there’s not much you can do with them. The figures are much smaller than expected and once hatched, they can’t be rehatched. Packaging is very minimal but you can clearly see what’s inside. Comes with a little basket for the figures to sit in. This is something your kids would play with once and then lose interest unfortunately. Would make a nice Easter gift though.

Hatchimals Alive Spring Set This set is sealed in the manufacturers branded moulded plastic display case. The basket itself is made of plastic which holds the 3 hatchimal eggs and 2 separate play figures. The basket can be used for storing and keeping all pieces together. There’s 2 methods of hatching the eggs, you can either feed them with the supplied baby bottle or soak them in water, great for the bath. To feed the egg to make them hatch you remove the dummy and insert the bottle of water in the hole. Then wait and watch the eggshell crack open just like a real baby chick would. The hatchimal will slowly peek through the top of the egg which cracks before your very eyes and then you simply remove the cracked pieces and this reveals your play toy. The dummy you remove to feed can also be inserted into the newly hatched babies mouth. After hatching all eggs which probably takes a minute each after their feed you will have a total of 6 play animals. The cuteness and the engineering of these toys will fascinate your child when watching the baby animals hatch but you can only hatch them once and then they will be play pieces only. I haven’t found a way to piece the egg back together easily so this could be a repeated hatched toy surprise yet. You get a double surprise in 1 of the eggs as this contains 2 smaller than the other animal babies. This set is quite pricey as a one time hatch but you do get 3 hatching eggs, one of the eggs is doubled containing 2 and you also get 2 already hatched play animals as well as the feeing bottle and cloud display basket so the price does appear to be correct. As the cracked egg pieces are small in size I would suggest age 5 to 8 years rather than the younger 3 to 5 years. The older child aged 5 will appreciated the magic of egg hatching more than the younger one will I believe.

Die Kinder waren sofort begeistert von der bunten und einladenden Verpackung. Das Nest selbst ist nicht nur optisch ansprechend, sondern bietet auch eine tolle Möglichkeit, die Hatchimals sicher und stilvoll aufzubewahren. Die Kinder waren fasziniert von der Idee, ihre Hatchimals in diesem Nest zu „nisten“. Es fördert die Kreativität und das Rollenspiel, da sie ihre kleinen Freunde liebevoll „pflegen“ können. Die Qualität des Nests ist ebenfalls überzeugend.– es ist robust und gut verarbeitet, sodass es auch bei lebhaftem Spielvergnügen standhält. Ist natürlich Plastik pur, das muss man mögen ;)
