You just rub the potatoes under running water with the gloves and they are scrubbed. The gloves seem to be made of a Scotch brite material but have been very durable. Save your money and go buy the body loofa gloves out of your local store! Same thing Much cheaper.
just ok.. nothing to rant over. yOu can get the bath loofa gloves from the store for mush less and they do the same thing. thanks MiNE gloves for pulling a fast one over.

This rather simple item was a big hit! They took the dirt off my home grown potatoes swiftly and easily. I gave pairs to a couple of friends and they raved about them, too. They rinse out in cold water, quick dry and are ready for the next time. Certainly worth the low price. I had originally encountered them in a Prince Edward Island gift shop (with a PEI logo on them) but these are the same gloves. Have only tried them for cleaning raw potatoes, but I'll try them for peeling cooked ones soon.

Never peel your potatos or carrots
I simply scrub them with these gloves and save all of the nutrients in the skins.
