One of the best dehydrators I've ever owned
We eat a lot of fruit in our house and dehydrating is a great way to take it with us on hikes or dry canning when it goes on sale and we buy a bunch. After burning out several different dehydrators we have been thrilled with this and its been put through the paces. The first week we did a half a dozen pineapples, 9 bunches of bananas and a handful of kiwis. The second week was all about apple and strawberry chips and herbs from my tea garden. It's used at least a couple times a week since. Relatively easy to clean. We use a nylon scrub brush and it works really well. I was amazed at how quiet it is. Even standing next to it it's hard to hear it going. My only complaint is that it did take some tweaking on temps and times with the various things we've dried. Not at all what the booklet had listed but not hard to figure out either. I do not like the fruit leather tray at all that came with it. Outside of that it fits nicely on my countertop and works beautifully.

Perfect
This is my first dehydrator and I waited to do multiple varieties of foods before writing this. I wanted square because it's easier to cut parchment paper to fit to make fruit roll ups or spread chili on it rather than buying special round trays for a round one. I like the 9 tray because let's face it, dehydrating everything takes a good amount of time so I'd rather do as much as possible all at once. The first time I used it I knew it'd need a test run because it is all made of plastic and it definitely smelled like plastic. I made dog treats. Came out amazing. I don't mix meat with veggies I'm dehydrating so I did veggies after that and no smell of plastic. For all of you who claim the door hits the shelves, please see my video. It doesn't. It is user error. There is a cardboard piece inside the back of the machine that MUST be removed. It says to remove it on the front piece of cardboard but I suspect many do not take the time to read. Could also be why your door isn't shutting or your temperatures don't add up to the settings. Speaking of settings, I do wish I could pick 130 or 135 degrees rather than the present of 131 for example. But, I'm probably just being picky. The noise level is like my central air conditioning, not my bathroom vent fan. It's there, but isn't going to interrupt my lifetime movie marathon. I'd totally recommend this for the above reasons despite minor drawbacks. I'd stay clear if you have a problem cooking in plastic.

Good dehydrator for the price- door needs to be made better
Read the reviews and thought this would be the best dehydrator for the money. Really not necessary to spend $200 on a food dehydrator. Used it multiple times now for fruit. Will try fruit leather this weekend. Overall it is a nice product with the ability to set different temperatures and times. Very easy to use. Really my biggest complaint would be the door. You have to make sure you close it completely and tightly. Very cheaply made and found out that it wasn't closed completely after checking on some fruit and came back to see the door was slightly opened and the heat escaping. Could do a better job with the door to make sure it is closed. Not much instruction on how to dehydrate. Best getting a book that covers everything. Used teflon type mats that I cut to fit the trays for some cherries as the tray holes would be too big and it made for easier cleanup. Only issue is that it make the drying time longer. Will be getting some mesh to cut for the trays to help with airflow. Well worth it for the price. Can fit a lot of fruit. Runs quietly. Would recommend it.

Common reviewer complaints resolved
I want to add a review more or less to help others who have had problems with this unit. Basically, the problems are with the operator not the unit. The main complaints I saw were that the front cover would get stuck on the tray when taking it of and on. The other complaint was that it seemed like it took extra time to dehydrate products. The fix to both these problems is to remove the cardboard on the inside back of the unit. I had the same problems as others until I “accidentally“ pulled it out. Otherwise, this is a fantastic dehydrator. Easy to clean , works great and seems less clunky than the nesco brand. I also want to add that the capacity is deceptively large. It just seems like you the space it well utilized for tons of jerky!

Very fast
I’ve used this dehydrator nonstop for everything from fresh pasta to tomatoes and mushrooms—and it hasn’t missed a beat. It dries evenly across all trays, holds temp well, and doesn’t sound like a jet engine. Dehydrated pasta holds its shape perfectly, and tomatoes come out sweet and concentrated. Mushrooms dry fast and rehydrate beautifully. Super easy to clean too. If you’re preserving ingredients for future use or running a small food business, this thing is a workhorse.

Great investment for long-term food storage
This little unit is a must-have for gardeners who don't want to fuss with canning and have limited freezer space. We dry all kinds of stuff....apples, carrots, zucchini, tomato, cucumbers (sliced and dried are great!), banana, all kinds of wild mushroom, beets. On and on. Then we just put it all up in canning jars, pop those in the oven on low heat (like 200 degrees low) with the lids loose. In about an hour take 'em out with a oven mit, tighten the lid, and in short order stuff is vacuum sealed. We've kept dried veggies like that for years and they stay fresh in the jars. The only thing we wish this unit had was more of the finer screens for the trays...you only get one. Otherwise this is a way better unit than those cylindrical ones...we went through 2 of those in two years as the bearings in the motor get damp and fail. This "oven" type is far better.

I purchased this for my wife who likes to make fruit leather etc. It works great and is far easier use than the old round version she had previously. She loves it!

I have done a number of projects with the dehydrator, works excellent. Very easy to use and setup. After a few weeks the only thing that I have noticed is the fan is getting much louder, hoping this is not going to be an issue.

Funciona bien. Hice tomates secos.
