Articulate and Simple IEMs. Just What You Need.
I have owned this product for over a year. If you are someone who is looking for a product with a microphone and high quality sound quality, but does not want to worry about charging, this is the perfect fit. The cord is also durable and can be changed out if you are having issues at any point. So far, I have experienced no signs of wear and tear and it has been over 1 year. I have wrapped them in their luxurious leather carrying case, stuffed them in my pockets, shoved them in my backpack. They are still in perfect shape. It is an excellent value for the money, I hope to have these for life! These are lightweight and portable IEMs that come with a beautifully crafted carry case - you feel like you can pack away and protect your world! Ensure to use the case, because it can prevent the male wires from getting bent and shifted. The life of this product is excellent, and be sure to keep an eye on the male prongs connected to the wire to ensure they are situated flush against the IEMs. They can of course shift with use over time. I searched endlessly for IEMs that included a microphone. I anticipated using them for working to seamlessly transition between listening and hopping on calls, however I still use my Senneheiser work headset like I am at a call center or something since the microphone quality is not the best. The microphone can work decently if you place the microphone directly up to your mouth. You can always replace the wire if the market comes up with a wire that has a great mic (not sure if one is out there after many months of searching.) The tune is excellent for these Moondrops, they are clear and sharp. They capture elegant details and are smooth to listen to. They are beautiful and come in such gorgeous packaging, it really is a special experience. I love music!

Another stellar moondrop entry, the cable exceeds expectations
I'm not usually someone who EQ's headphones - I like them to sound the way the designer tuned them. But with the moondrop app (have to download the APK for android on their site) the degree and precision of the EQ tuning is HUGE. And the side perk is they're a standard 2 pin 0.78mm design on the cable with a slight recess, so anything you want with a 2 pin design can just plug right in. The cable also actually plays nice with dolby atmos on my phone - a rarity. It sounds fun and lively, instead of weird and unnatural. The biggest boon to the cable that had me leery is that I'm super, SUPER sensitive to "amp click" and low level hiss. the quark DSP was unusable because of that. But I'm happy to report this cable is silent on both sides. No hiss, no click when you're not playing anything and scrolling through youtube. The IEM's work just fine with a regular 2 pin too. Sound is great. These really do sound like a solid $100-150 IEM. I definitely prefer the simgot EM6L to these, but these are a little smoother, trading a little detail and soundstage for cohesiveness. They're gorgeous looking too. And the semi-custom fit is just right for me with some shallower tips. They're a fun tuning at baseline, a little warm-neutral V shaped. The micro planar really is nice and textured - something I like when companies leave in. I think I like them a little more than the aria 2, but they're just a bit more grown up and the aria goes for pure fun. But I'm sure you could tune these to get there as well. It would have been nice if the cable came with a reverse type C to 3.5mm adapter but that's asking a lot, this thing already delivers a ton for the money. The only thing I think is a little odd is the diameter of the nozzle. It's REALLY wide. It's not a super deep/wide design like the truthear zero, which was like trying to fit a cannon down your ear canal (and thus was super uncomfortable for me) but since the tip does the fitting, it's comfortable. It just is WIDE, so fitting tips on it can be annoying. The stock tips were actually a real pain to fit on them. But they'll accept most tips - dunu SS, TRN T tips, coreir brass, everything normal fits, it's just a challenge to put them on for some. And I do wish it had the brass detachable nozzle and replaceable filters of the chu II and Aria II. That really is a superb design choice that the may lacks. Truthfully, there are no deal breakers here. The price they're asking would be almost fair for the cable alone - a really nice DSP and EQ tunable cable is impressive with no click or hiss. And then throw some $100-150 sounding IEM's in as well? Nobody tell moondrop, they forgot to put a 1 in front of their price.

Pleasant balance
Enjoying the May's so far. Nicely balanced sound slightly leaning on the airy side with an analog cable. The tips are a pain to install but will go on. The ear fit is excellent and they feel light and comfortable. I really enjoy listening to acoustic rock with these. The bass is there but not the focus, the mids, vocals and treble really shine. A refreshing change to v shaped balance that dominates the market.

Just wish it had an aux cable too
Every time I get a new phone it's because the charge port broke on the old one. I don't want to damage my current phone by having it plugged in banging around in my pocket so I bought a separate cable. I can do the same thing the included cable does with wavelet anyways. That said, I love these. I was using a pair of kz zsn pros before and I went through 3 or 4 cables before the connectors broke. Those connectors stuck out from the part that goes in your ear and the ones on these don't so I'm hoping they'll last longer. I can tell the body of these is resin 3d printed which since I own a resin 3d printer makes me nervous but it feels premium enough. Many resins are brittle so I hope they didn't cheap out on that. Very nice fit and very comfortable btw. As for the sound, these are worth the money plus the cost of the extra cable I bought. I love the sound. Just know you'll have trouble finding tuning profiles for peace and wavelet and such since most people just use the software meant for them. One last thing, the eartips are so hard to install and not the highest quality so they feel like they're gonna break as you stretch them over. I don't mind this since I've had an eartip stuck in my ear canal before and I DO NOT want that to happen again. (a doctor had to remove that) Edit: both have broken around the same time, however it was because I drop them a lot and it was an easy fix. The glue holding the metal cover on failed and I had to use CA glue to stick them back on. Maybe use some stronger glue. This wasn't too much of an issue and only took them out of commission for a few minutes. The glue has failed before the resin which says a lot about the quality of the resin.

Good iem with pretty good sound. The app some times crashes, but when works it updates the presets.

I am a bit of a headphone nut and am getting into IEMs recently. I have HD800S and HD6XX headphones and still really enjoy these. They sound much better than the truthear hexas that I bought. I am generally listening to these with a regular analog cable, but the dsp cable sounds great. It’s just a shame that the app basically doesn’t work on iOS and has sketchy permissions for android. It seems to work ok ish with android but it really isn’t the best. I’m still giving these 5 stars as the sound quality for the price totally blows my mind. Regarding putting on the tips, if you fold the flange up and grip it like that, it makes it much easier to wiggle the tip on.
