I used to think I had the answers to everything. But now I know, life doesn't always go my way. Just when I was caught in the middle, that's when I realized: I needed a child neurology review book with vignettes. In comes Dr. Tena Rosser's Case Based Review of Child Neurology. Why carry around binders full of information like the President when you can purchase this compact, form-fitting booklet? It conveniently fits into my backpack. I can generously fit additional snacks into my backpack for studying as well. While venturing out to study I would routinely fit this book plus 3 apples, a thermos, 5 granola bars, and a Texas Instruments Graphing Calculator. It turns out in retrospect that you will not need a graphing calculator for the neurology board exam. In fact, you don't need them really for any exams since the advent of the smart phone. You will also need to know something about adult neurology for the exam. Such as dementia. Take a look at this wonderful portrait I just drew of half a clock. This was a wonderful purchase. 5/5 stars.

This text provides fantastic coverage of key topics within pediatric neurology. The case-based method allows the reader to assemble a memorable and organized framework of knowledge of the field, and strikes a very nice balance between breadth and depth. One of the best textbooks I read as a medical student.

I read this book in preparation for the American board of pych and neurology re-certification exam, together with pediatric epilepsy case studies and passed with flying colors.

Really like this book, but there are some extra questions that I hope they have answers so that I do not have to spend too much time to find out by myself.
