I'm not sure why the other reviewer gave 1 star, perhaps Eden has upgraded their firmware... Either way I am very happy with this system. I had looked in vain for other moisture control systems and only found one from RainBird but it was way too expensive. The controls for the Eden system are entirely on my phone which is okay, though I'de also like buttons and a screen on the timer. The ability to control everything from moisture delay (similar to rain delay but better), eco-watering (allowing a pause for water to soak) and a choice of days of week or intervals is great. Multiple timers and valves can also be named and photographed in the app, which is fantastic! The moisture sensor accuracy is not quite as good as my Ecowitt weather station sensor, but definitely good enough for the task at hand.

I’ve purchased a number of these as well as the Eden timers. They save allot of water and seem pretty accurate. My COMPLAINT is that although they ship the timers to Canada no problem. They do not ship the moisture sensors to Canada. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I contacted the seller and have not received any response. I have to make a 6 hour drive to cross the border and to pick it up! It’s also a shame they aren’t available on Amazon Canada.

This is a --start-- on a good idea, but this sensor is just a good way to TRIPLE the cost of your watering system. All I wanted was a way to automate skipping a watering cycle after a rain storm. Sadly, this device won't do the job unless you buy FOUR sensors! I regulate water by setting the length of -time- to water each zone independently. I paid $67 for the Eden 93413 Programmable Digital Water Timer (which is a great device!). I bought one of these sensors thinking I could use it to regulate all 4 zones in my garden. Unfortunately, no. They require a sensor for EACH ZONE independently. $$$$!!! I suspect most people are like me - one sensor to skip a cycle would be all we want. If they had given us the option of using just one sensor to control all 4 zones, this would be a perfect solution. I'll not be buying three more sensors. It ain't worth the money. Since it is pointless to use my single sensor to control JUST one of the 4 zones, the sensor sits on a shelf, unused. It is just another piece of junk on the shelf, an expensive lesson learned. If you have too much money burning holes in your pockets, this sensor was designed just for you!

the unit seems to communicate with the control valve just fine but I'm not confident that I'm getting accurate information from my SC hard clay soil -- I put this on the back burner last summer -- it is February now so I will have to weight a couple of months to try it again -- I'm a gadget guy so I want this to work and my wife be impressed -- time and patience will prevail
