I’ve never cut my own hair before but I made a decent enough job of it using these clippers, and although it took me twice as long as a professional barber would take I was pleased with the end result. My only criticism is that there is no helpful guide included in the box but everything else you need is. I had to look through YouTube for tip and most of the instruction videos are far too long. I gave up on all but one of them within a few minutes because I wanted to know where to start and how to use the clippers, I didn’t need somebody repeatedly telling me that they used their particular clippers because they were their favourites, or that the numbers on the clipper guards referred to the length after the hair was cut, I got it the first time. Anyway, now I know how to use clippers to cut my own hair. It’s very easy and even a rank amateur like me managed it with ease. If your a bit older and don’t have luxuriant flowing locks and want to keep what you’ve got neat and tidy, buy these.

29 year old male here and I cannot believe how much time and money I was wasting going to the barber for a simple buzz-cut. This clipper set makes the process so easy with the color-coded system. It's not really advertised but the lowest guard in the kit is a 1/2 which is what I use. Super simple to take care of and oil--all the info you need is in the instructions provided. This really is dummy-proof as I have never cut my hair myself before but with the help of a door-hanging 360 mirror, and this clipper set, it really is easy. The only thing I wish made more sense is the way it charges. For this particular model, when you plug it in, the light just stays red--it never goes off, so one never really knows if it is fully charged or not which is dumb. So I just leave it for an hour or so. Very nice that this kit includes a little oil dropper so you don't need to buy a separate one at the beginning and they also include a wonderful little brush to help swipe away the hair on the clippers and guards. I do appreciate the durable case that is provided too making transport and storage a breeze. I highly recommend.
