They shield the drone’s delicate propellers from any bumps and scrapes, significantly reducing the chances of it crashing to the floor if it brushes against a wall, furniture, or even a curious pet. This added protection has given me the confidence to practice flying in tighter, indoor spaces without constantly worrying about damaging my drone. Indoor Flying:Flying indoors can be tricky, but these guards make it much more manageable. They create a buffer around the propellers, allowing me to maneuver my drone more safely around obstacles. This has been invaluable for improving my skills in a controlled environment. Obstacle Avoidance Disabled: It’s important to note that once the propeller guards are attached, the drone's obstacle avoidance system gets disabled. This was a bit of a surprise at first, but knowing this in advance is crucial. I purchased the STARTRC MINI 4 Pro Propeller Guard specifically for flying my DJI MINI 4 Pro in low light and at night when the built-in obstacle detection system is inactive. These guards are quick to install and remove, providing an added layer of protection for my drone in challenging lighting conditions. One notable feature is the on-screen notification alerting me when the propeller guards are fitted. However, it's important to be aware that the performance is downgraded when the guards are in use, and the obstacle detection system is automatically switched off. This behavior is consistent with the official DJI guards. Despite the performance trade-off, these propeller guards have proven indispensable for my nighttime flights, offering peace of mind and safeguarding my drone in less-than-ideal visibility. If you're flying in low light conditions and can accept the reduced obstacle detection capabilities, these guards are a valuable accessory for your DJI MINI 4 Pro.

The propeller guards offer good protection at the sides and undermeath of the drone. Although very light the guards obviously make the drone weigh more than 250g which means you need to register the drone with the Civil Aviation Authority in the UK and take the test to obtain a Flyer ID. So far I have only one complaint with the guards and that is I found it very difficult to secure the clips over the two front arms of the drone. It takes me a few minutes and sore fingertips pushing hard to eventually get the clips secured. Looking at the tabs that slot in the hinged clip they look slightly out of alignment which I think is causing the problem. But apart from that a wortwhile investment if flying where the drone is likely to bump into something that the object avoidance sensors don't see. Maybe the troublesome clips will bed in with use.

This is great for getting to grips with flying the DJI Mini 4 indoors without causing damage to the propellers - however please be aware it does not stop you from crashing or from damaging the DJI itself!! It also reduces the flight time due to the increased added weight. On the positive, it gives you a bit more confidence in flying the DJI indoors.

Works as intended. It feels very 'plasticy' which usually means poor quality but given the weight concerns involved in its application, cannot be avoided. The actual design and build quality is pretty good. I would recommend

All the clips fitted fine with the exception of one which required a bit of force. It's fairly flimsy in construction. Don't know how long they'll last for that reason. Probably worth having indoors as you you get the protection without the annoying avoidance beeps. Outdoors you're most likely better without them a) for the unbuilt avoidance function, b) for the improved aerodynamics and c) forr the reduced weight

Bought this for a present. Relation was very happy as product protects his mini 4. No need to worry about getting too close to an object now or crashing (:-)

Quando ho acquistato il mio primo drone mini 4 pro, dopo i primi urti volando dentro casa, ho acquistato un neo per fare pratica e urtando anche col neo, ho capito che i paraelica sono utilissimi. Infatti ho dovuto sostituire le eliche danneggiate al mini 4 pro, tra l'altro ne ho trovate altre colorate e ho visto che fare modifiche è anche divertente. Pertanto le consiglio.
