Kenko Japanese Mayonnaise 500g

Kenko mayo doesn’t just sit quietly on your sandwich — it performs. Sweet, tangy, salty and gloriously umami all at once, it’s like the Kewpie cousin who parties harder but still turns up on time. The high egg-yolk content makes it thick, glossy and rich enough to make plain chips feel gourmet. Yes, it’s a bit “processed,” but that’s kind of the magic — sake lees, MSG, and mustard come together like a flavour supergroup. It’s cheaper than Kewpie, just as indulgent, and dangerously easy to over-squeeze.

Very good, my family loved it. It tastes similar to the mayo that you make at home.

This mayo is about as close as you can get in flavour to qp mayo without the super expensive price tag. The texture and quality is the same as qp. It's also quite versatile. I add it to ramen, use it on sandwiches, as a dip for chicken nuggies. Chuck your regular mayo away and try this, it literally levels up and enriches anything you use it for.

I really like the tangier taste of this mayonnaise, which is more akin to a more savoury salad cream than to mayonnaise. The packaging is a bit strange with the branding on a packet that the bottle comes in and a very soft almost floppy bottle with no markings. It flows easily from the container but at £4.50 I don't think I would buy again.
