Scroll Saw Workbook, 3rd Edition: Learn to Master Your Scroll Saw in 25 Skill-Building Chapters (Fox Chapel Publishing) Ultimate Beginner's Guide with Projects to Hone Your Scrolling Skills Review: Very informative and must have - I bought this book for my husband's birthday. I also bought him a scroll saw. He at first just looked at the pictures and thought it was a cool book. I read most of the helpful information at the beginning of the book before wrapping it. It helped me with selecting the scroll saw and everything my husband would need to get started. There is A LOT of great information in the first few pages. My husband tried to play with his new scroll saw after looking at the pictures of this book. He became quickly frustrated. I pointed out things I read and explained how the pattern lessons worked. We made copies of the lesson patterns and glued them on scrap wood. He was off zipping through the different cuts. After reading the words of the book he understood more about the scroll saw. The picture is not a project from the book, but he did learn how to make the cuts from book. Not bad for a first-time project and a husband that is inpatient. I highly recommend the book. It has great information that is easy to follow, and the lessons are explained well. It does require reading. You won't just learn how to use a scroll saw by just looking at the pictures in the book. Review: Gift for my wife just starting scrolling - Good general overview at the beg, lots of skill practice exercises. Material and blades are listed for each exercise which all contain multiple techniques multiple times. Good skill builder. She was able to accomplish all of it on an inexpensive Harbor Freight scroll saw with minor modification to the saw (changed the heads to pinless). It’s a good book

Wonderful knowledge and practice
I’ve watched a ton of videos but decided to try this book and I’m so glad I did. I’m only on the third exercise but I already feel so accomplished! Easy to read and understand! Thank you

Fox Chapel does it right
Another Fox Chapel classic. Really is good for the beginner or someone wanting to up their skills. Great introductory chapters on scroll saw history , set up, mechanics, and tips to make the most of your beginner level saw. Then it has 25 chapters of projects that introduce new skills. I dare say if you complete the book you’ll be a very skilled artisan, and probably be ready to buy a higher grade scroll saw.

Great for a beginner like me, with plenty for the experienced.
This was just what i needed to learn the ups and downs of scroll sawing.

Printable patterns available
For those who are concerned or complaining about either trying to copy the pattern pages in the book or buying if for Kindle and not having the patterns to print, at the Contents page there is a notice that you can email them and they will send you a pdf file with all the patterns so you can print them out. Just got mine in less than a half hour from them. Very efficient!

Great book, but unusable on kindle.
Patterns are not available at scale in kindle version. Should be PDFs available.

Raccomandatissimo!
