Are the sachets used like teabags or do you open them into your cup and add water like instant coffee?

Hi. Yes, you use them just like a teabag. Select the coffee of your choice, put the bag in a cup, add hot water, give it a quick stir, leave to brew for a few minutes (longer if you like a stronger cup), stir then squeeze the bag when removing - and enjoy! Fresh ground coffee with minimal fuss and no mess.

What length of ‘Use by date’ do these coffee bags have? Is it too early to buy as a Christmas gift??

Is the foil packet recyclable? I can't justify buying this if not.
