I love these cups!
~ My son just turned 6. We went from 360 cups to kids cups with lids and reuseable straws. I like how lids and straws limit any spilling but I don't like how he always wants a lid and straw so I got to looking at my options when I found these. We have only had them a few days and love them ~ They are not spill proof or leak proof, think a smaller size stainless cup or wine tumbler with a lid....they are like that but for little hands. ~ I love that they have an easy on, easy off, easy to clean lid that does not fit a hard plastic reuseable straw (a disposable or silicone one would work though). I love the protection of minimizing spills if the cup is knocked over or if there are bumps in the road in the car or wagon. ~ I love that they are only 5 ounces! They are a great size for little hands and perfect to stick to age appropriate serving sizes. ~ I love they are multiple use cups! They can be used with or without the lid so they grow with your child. They are the perfect size for snacks too, I was thinking goldfish in the car but my teen said they'd be great pudding cups.

Easy for little hand and durable.
Perfect toddler cup with lid. No need for straw and independent kiddos who have outgrown sippy cups. Durable and dishwasher safe.

Perfect toddler cup!
These are great toddler cups. They are the perfect size for little hands. My daughter can practice drinking from a “big” cup, but the lid helps minimize spills. There’s also the option to use it without the lid, which means she can use them for several years. The plastic is sturdy and smooth. The bright colors are fun and help my daughter practice identifying different colors. We wash them on the top rack of the dishwasher and they are still holding together. My daughter drops them from time to time, and they haven’t broken yet. The cups are light, which is good for little hands, but also means they are easier to knock over. Overall, a great cup for toddlers and kids.

Lid Is Kind Of Useless
For background, my son started using this cup after having a good experience with the Munchkin 360 cups. Before the first use of the Munchkin Splash, I tested out the leak/spill-proof ability by filling one with water and adding the lid (rubber ring seal correctly placed and intact). I turned the cup over the sink, water only came out of the drinking hole on top and the lid stayed on, no mess! Unfortunately, once I let my son use the cup for the first time, there was mess almost immediately! Repeating the same steps as I did when testing, I had MUCH less liquid in the cup this time, but as soon as he put any amount of pressure on the lid, it tilted toward his face and off of the cup -- this became more of a hinderance and distraction to the learning experience. Since the lids on these cups don't screw on and they just sit inside the cup with the rubber ring, we opted to use them without the lid at all, which I was hoping to graduate to later on after more practice using the free-flowing drinking hole on top. Overall, it's a great size cup for 2-year-old hands and, over time, I'll appreciate that there are no grooves from a screw on top when he really gets the hang of drinking from an open cup. It is easy to wash and is a nice, sturdy material for instances of being dropped, but I just wish the lid was more secure for a better transition because it lacks the training lid feature it advertises.

Easy for toddler to use
Perfect for teaching how to drink out of a cup. Warning: I suggest handwashing these. I forgot one in the dishwasher and the lid liner molded badly.

Great learning tool but lids fly off when dropped. Better for older kids
I actually am really pleased with these as far as quality for cups for toddlers at a decent price point. My boy’s first birthday is tomorrow and I am trying hard to prepare him for life without the bottle. He shows signs that he is wanting to drink from an open cup. I know what a wet disaster that is going to be, so I wanted to give these a try. Small cups for small hands and a lid to help mitigate the damage done with each spill. He likes them and wants to carry them all around the house chewing on them/trying to drink from them. They are not going to be leak-proof, obviously, because they are still open cups, even with the lid on. The gasket around the lid does make a perfect seal though, so it doesn’t leak around the rim. My biggest reason for deducting 2 stars is because these are not drop proof. My baby is a new walker. Every time he trips and drops the cup (or just drops the cup cuz why not?), the lid flies off and shoots across the room. That doesn’t exactly help mitigate the spills. It would be nice if the lid stayed on so that even if my baby drops it, I have time to pick it up before the entire contents of the cup spill all over the floor. Everytime he drops the cup and I hear the lid go flying, I deflate. It is so annoying. I’ve just been filling them with smaller amounts of water and using my super absorbent O-Cedar mop to soak up the small spills. The good news is so far the cups and lids themselves have withstood the drops onto a hard laminate floor. No cracking yet, but it hasn’t even been a day. I also think these cups will be useful and less frustrating at mealtimes when baby is just drinking from them at the high chair.

Perfect for multi-step transition to open drinking!
Our almost-2-year-old was using sport-top water bottles and Munchkin 360 sippers (for water when not eating) and the take-and-toss sippy cups (for milk or water when eating) and needed something to make the move toward regular cups. These have been perfect! He's now 28-months-old and using these for all meals, mostly without the tops. Still using tops when wandering around the house (probably could go without but he likes to leave drinks on the floor where they get knocked over, and the tops at least slow the spill if caught in time). SIZE: Small enough for little hands to hold on his own and not have too much liquid in case of spills. Big enough that he only needs one (maybe 2 if he's extra parched) for a full meal. LIDS: We used the lids with them for a few months, and still do if he asks for a top, but when we gave him the cup without the lid for the first time, it was a seamless change! The biggest difference is now he has a huge milk mustache that he couldn't have gotten with the lid on! The lids stay on really well, but not so it's impossible to take off (for adults - toddler hands can't do it from what I've seen our crafty, strong toddler attempt). They're NOT leakproof, more like an unsealed travel coffee mug, so the opportunity to spill is minimized but not completely eliminated. I wish they had a straw top like the 360 sipper accessory lids (which DON'T fit these cups, BTW), but that's not a dealbreaker. CLEANING: Super easy to clean (love the dishwasher friendly pieces!)
