One remote, controls the TV and the Apple TV out of the box. Simple. Light. Small. Effective. I’d recommend.

Fails to connect to Apple TV. Second one bought now and still doesn’t connect. After trying 6 batteries, came to conclusion it is not the battery but the remote. Does not even get recognised by Apple TV to even start connecting it. Very frustrating.

I ordered one and I understood the comments that the layout and feel lis nothing ike the expensive original it was so useful I ordered another and again great. I have a few Apple TVs and liked the Tv volume controls feature so ordered another third. The battery compartment was a bit loose and it would not work , I took the battery out .. it was red hot .. tried a second battery and was not working so five stars for the first two and no stars for the last one I could have sent it back but just binned it .. other two still fine. Worth a try if you are ready to return the occasional faulty one

I was surprised that it worked, as IR light doesn't flash. I thought that there was an issue with the battery connection. Little spring connection became detached. I re attached & it worked, to my surprise. It controls my JVC TV & Apple box well. Saves having to use 2 remotes. It's very light. It's working for me so far.

This replacement Apple TV remote is a decent option if your original remote has stopped working. It functions as expected, allowing you to control your Apple TV and your connected TV. However, there are a few drawbacks: The button layout feels slightly different than original remote, which take some time getting used to. The material used for the remote not feels as premium as the original. While the battery life seems comparable to the original, it’s not last as long if you use the remote heavily. But for the price you get, does the job.

A perfect replacement … lightweight , and easy to use , won’t break the bank if you lose it .. It’s worth buying half a dozen , and throwing them around the room , for when the original has disappeared - yet again .. Well worth buying ..

Sure it’s cheap and it works, kind of, although half the buttons don’t work (in fact, at least half the buttons) including not being able to switch the Apple TV on and off! So not only was it a waste of money, so was buying the batteries for it. Went straight out and bought a proper remote!
