Rothco 18" D-Handle Sawback Machete

Purchased in 2017 chopped thru branches and trees that a hatchet would have been better but not as fun. Hit more rocks than I'd like to admit and bent the end of the blade. Bent it back with a hammer then sharpened the blade and the saw back with an angle grinder. Wouldn't have done that to a $100 machete

Grey handle is high visibility, not good for stealth or covert operations. It needs to be matte black and not reflective at all. -1★Saw back isn't real, not sharp saw teeth just a decorative saw tooth shape. -1★Blade is thin and could break easily. -1★Holes in the blade make it weaker. -1★Sorry, but it's not good enough.Better than nothing, and okay quality for the price. Probably good enough for gardening or chopping branches but not good enough for home defense, hunting, or military use.Fix these issues and send me a new one.

This machete is pretty solid. Swung it at a spruce tree in the back. It has a great curve on the blade sort of comparable to a Kukri in chopping power. Blade came oiled, sharp, with a sheathe. For the money nothing better imo. I'm satisfied we'll see how it holds up to abuse.

Now that I've gotten around to using this a few times I am very happy with it. The only issue I've had is that the grip gets loose now and then and I have to tighten it up. I would get it again though. Very happy with it. The scabbard could be better but it does the job.

In the description, it says combat tested since 3334. My God, any product that meets the combat requirements for the next millennium is AOK in my book. Very sharp, and highly intimidating to anyone using 21st century technology.

Everyone needs to have at least one . Home defense can't get better. Can't shoot you with out a hand. Well made and sharp out of the box

After 4 mo. and little use, this blade broke off at the handle while I was chopping some coconuts.

Bought one and roofer begged for his own..Well made and sharp. Nice scabbard.
