Dorman 14092 Shift Cable Bushing Kit Compatible with Select Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC Models (OE FIX)

Worked awesome! Got my suburban back on the road. Only took a few min to install.

Works great for a 2011 Silverado. Let it sit in a cup of hot water out of my keurig for 2 minutes. Was able to snap it in easily with my fingers then snap it onto the shifter. Took me longer to lay down and get up than the actual repair.

Came across this on youtube shorts. This came quickly and replaced the broken bushing on my 2010 Silverado Shift linkage. It had cracked and fell off. The part was easy to install and fits well.

I used this to fix the bushing on the shift cable of a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali. As these cars age, the bushing will fail (a sign would be the shifter being a bit loose/easy to move than normal). This was a direct fit to the shift cable, with a good and tight seal. You might need to use a little pry tool to push it in to make it seat correctly - but it was an easy fix. Intuitive to install, good and tight fit against the shifter. It comes in a pack of two, but after installing the initial one, I suspect it should last for quite some time.

Good budget fix I installed this Dorman 14092 bushing kit on my GM vehicle when the original shift-cable bushing wore out, and it did restore shift feel almost immediately. Installation was surprisingly easy — took me about 5–10 minutes under the truck, just needed a flat-head screwdriver to seat the new bushing firmly, then pressed the cable end onto the shift lever. After that the gear shifter felt tight again; no more loose, sloppy shifting.

Easy to install, but I recommend at flat-blade screwdriver at the minimum. And maybe a small plier to squeeze in the new part. Fit my 2010 Chevrolet Express 2500 (6L90E) perfectly. It's good to get a proper piece in place of the emergency repair.
