Not polyester—Update, YES-this is actually polyester.
If you are planning to buy these pre-wound bobbins for use in an embroidery machine DON’T do it. They ARE NOT polyester and you will have unsatisfactory results. Also, some of the bobbins have burrs at the seams, which I believe might cause the bobbin to catch in the shuttle at high machine speeds. Unfortunately, I bought ahead so I wouldn’t run out and before I used them my return window had closed. I will try them in my normal sewing machine and hope for the best there. Product Update 10/23/2022–While I stand by my above review that these bobbins are not appropriate for my embroidery machine and the free standing lace designs I make, I have changed my rating to five stars for the following resasons: 1) The company reached out to me and was very upset about my one star rating. They explained that the bobbin thread I ordered was indeed polyester but of a short fiber type. The thread on these bobbins is also listed as 90wt. They do work just fine in my regular sewing machine and I am using them in that capacity. 2) The company offered me a choice of a full refund of this product or would send me a sample of the thread I should actually use for my needs. I did not feel a refund was fair to the company, so I opted for a sample which I received two days ago. The new thread I received is indeed exactly what I need for my embroidery machine. I have noted that the sample bobbins are 60wt. rather than 90. 3) New Brothread was very generous in sending me not the expected one or two bobbins but a full pack of 25! I used the sample bobbins on three designs yesterday and the thread sewed flawlessly and the noted burrs on the bobbin seams are inconsequential. I would definitely recommend these bobbins with the caveat of paying attention and making sure you order the correct weight. I will order from this company again when I need more bobbins. The company wanted me to remove my bad review but I thought it better to amend my previous one to hopefully make other customers aware that these bobbins come in different weights so they can choose the appropriate weight for their sewing needs. New Brothread customer service is five stars.

These hold much more thread than bobbins wound on your machine
I use these bobbins for both regular sewing and embroidery. They are a MUST for embroidery as they go so much further than any bobbin wound on my Brother or Babylock machines. The tension is great, and I get great results. The bobbins are nicely stacked so they are easy to store. The box is sturdy enough that it did not get damaged in shipping. Once empty, the bobbins are nice enough to use to wind thread on if needed, I have had some that are not. The only complaint I have is with some of the bobbins, when they were wound, there is more thread at the bottom or top when close to running out so my machine thinks the bobbin is almost out when there is still a good bit of thread left. When sewing, I can easily see there is still thread on the bobbin and I continue on. When embroidering, it is not as easy to see what is left and I end up changing the bobbin out before it really needs to be. I would not be without prewound bobbins ever after using them, and these are great ones.

Great Value and Quality Bobbins
I love that this pack comes in a black and white combo—it’s super convenient! It’s also by far the most affordable option I’ve found. I was paying over $1 per bobbin at my local store, so this was a huge savings. The quality has been great so far—the thread is nice and thick, and the bobbins are uniform with no defects. Definitely a solid buy!

Good bang for your buck
I like buying bobbin in bulk because I go through so much. These have done the job fairly well. Only complaint is that some of them aren’t wound properly therefore causing a few issues on my sewing machine, but 8/10 times it works great!

Good quality
I love prewound bobbins!!! This is the 2nd time I've bought prewound, from this company. I love the ease of use and that they seem to last forever or till your elbow deep in a sewing project. I use these in my Brother SE1900 and Brother NQ1700e when embroidering. I've seen people say with they had problems with the prewounds as sometimes the bobbin shows up on the top, usually after starting a new bobbin. What I do is take off several yards of thread from the new bobbin before putting it in the machine, this alleviates the bobbing showing on top 90% of the time. 8% is needle needs changing, or other random machine issue, because it can.

I was leery about buying a different brand of bobbin thread but am glad I chose this one as it works well in my Janome embroidery machine. Will buy again.

I’m new to embroidery and was having a lot of trouble winding my own bobbins right and full enough. These have saved me so much time and frustration and they work perfect in my Janome 450E machine. All of my projects since I have started using these bobbins have turned out perfect. I highly recommend!
