I have a 1998 GMC Sierra 2500 and this is a perfect for my truck . It is very well made and looks like a factor part, well worth the money . as far as the installation it can be a bit difficult but if you tilt the steering wheel all the way down and move the gear shift all the way to the right you will have the room to remove the old one and replace it with the new one . The only negative thing is the mounting clips provided did not work very well so i needed to modify them . Other wise a good buy looks just like the picture in the ad.

Plastic trim looks and fits nice. Wrong wiring adapter

I did a little math. Replacing my janky stock speakers and head unit for quality speakers and a decent-enough head unit with Bluetooth/navigation/backup camera was less expensive than buying a different vehicle. This truck may only be driven a few times a month but I still like the connivence of my phone syncing automatically and the backup camera for hooking up trailers. This dash plate is a necessity to make that happen. Other reviews have complained about clips snapping off or the face place not mounting totally flush to the main body of the dash or other minor issues. What they aren't taking into account is the age of the rest of the truck. My Z71 was built in 1997. Yeah, pushing 30 years ago while I was still in high school. My parts and pieces aren't to factory specs these days either. A couple of the places where the clips would attach are no longer there, one of the vents cracked while removing the previous face plate, and I had to trim a couple places to make it seat in place. The fitment wasn't a problem with the faceplate itself but with my dash shifting over the years. All that said, I friggen love having a modern head unit so the issues were worth it. A little velcro in a few spots made everything happy. I originally planned on repainting the black to match the stock blue but have since decided against it. If you're on the fence, climb on over. 4 replacement speakers, head unit, and this dash plate were $550ish but WELL worth the time and money.

Would not recommend buying. The Dash Bezel had to be trimmed to Fit my Din and Half Touchscreen Head Unit. I had to trim off just over a 1/4" on the Left and Right Hand Sides for it to Fit. Also I had to Grind Down my Stock Retaining Clips, and Install them on this Bezel, just so it could Snap into Place. I tried using the Retaining Clips that were Given, but no matter the Orientation of the Clips it would not fit Correctly/Securely. And the Final Fitment does meet Expectations (The HVAC Trim Piece does not even come close to covering up the HVAC Slot Location Lines, and that piece was never Trimmed/Altered). Overall the Fitment is Unsatisfactory (Overall the Dash Bezel does not Fit Flush, More Gapping then I Originally Thought there Potentially Could Be/Would Be, and the Top of the Dash Bezel has a Wicked Twist/Curve where it meets the Dash Panel). Too Much Time and Effort was Spent making it Work on the Vehicle. And Despite not rushing the Task at Hand, the Quality/Final Fitment is Still not there.

I expected some difficulties with the install of this product based on reviews and my experience wrestling getting the old one off. I wasn't wrong. The double din dash bezel for my 1995 GMC looked very nice. Did not look (to me) flimsy or cheaply made. I was more concerned about the clips provided since the did not match the OEM ones I removed. My original clips could not be reused since they did not fit to the bezel mount points. I had to modify several clips to get them to work. The left side of the bezel installed fine but the right side where the double din unit sits did not match too well. I had to remove my unit side mounts and install the head unit free floating in the space so it would match up to the bezel opening. In the end it all worked out. The head unit sits without mounts in the opening and is fairly secure sandwiched between the heater/AC controls and the dash top. It allowed me the flexibility to slightly adjust the head unit with the opening in the dash bezel to get it all to snap in. Got it installed and just hope I never have to removed it again! It looks nice and is an improvement over my old one that I originally hacked up to fit to the double din size. would have rated 4 stars had the clips been better designed.
