This is an amazing piece of kit. Lovely smooth wooden piece. It is a very intricate construction and looks fantastic once completed. My biggest tip is to use lots of wax on the moving parts to assist in smooth operation. I really enjoyed building and using this box. I wouldn't recommend to anyone under 16 or persons with a short attention span due to the complexity of it.

After doing the galaxy marble run I thought id give this ago, I found this much more fiddly than the last and much more care needed with the instructions, read and read again as this to me is much more complicated than the galaxy marble run, its very elaborate internal workings are a credit to its designer, alot of thought has gone into it, I did only manage to break one piece but fortunately a spare was included enabling me to complete. Its a very tricky puzzle to solve and applaud anyone who can unlock it without instructions

I have built many similar builds, this was the best and great to share with friends and family to try and break into the box. Best to put in a £1 scratch card as an incentive :)

If you like building things, this is ideal keeps the mind active and the end result I’ll give you a lot of satisfaction and then you want to buy another one plenty to choose from

Still be very careful of part 144 if you want the box to lock. Mine had a bit of an imperfection which made the hook fall off and it was a very late stage disappointment when all the other mechanisms were working. I initially had a problem understanding how to order the replacement part and gave them 3 stars, but to be fair to them, once I'd worked out how to press the right buttons on their web site, the replacement part has arrived, it's fixed the issue, and I'm delighted with the box - it's an amazingly intricate thing, with very clever, step-by-step, movements required to open the box....again, just be very careful of part 144 - it's the only thing that ultimately locks the box....

This is a great build, the only thing is you don't really know it works until you have finished as so many pieces interlock but mine was good. I was very careful with the sanding aspect as that has caught me out in the past but the final piece works perfectly.

Amazing puzzle! I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle and it was well worth the money. The finished product is really cool to look at and show others how it opens. A few things I would suggest before taking on this puzzle: 1. Invest in some parafin wax, a wax melter and a small paint brush. It is far easier to brush the wax on than to try to rub it on with that little piece of wax. You will need a lot more wax than provided anyway. Only wax the pieces that it tells you to and where on the piece it says. 2. I found that a rough nail buffer was excellent to sand the pieces that needed sanding. 3. Buy a small craft hammer. Trust me, it will save your fingers. They get very sore putting the pieces together. 4. Use the tool to push the pieces out. It is found on board 6 and is very helpful. 7. Pay close attention to the direction of the pieces. It’s very important to get pieces a certain way. Always pay attention to the exclamation marks. They are important. 8. When waxing pieces, apply wax and then burnish with your thumb and finger. Remove all wax from the face of the piece with your thumb nail. Do not over-wax! Wax becomes like glue when too much is used. You might try a wood lubricant instead. I’ve just recently found that product and am going to try it on future puzzles. 9. Take your time and enjoy the puzzle. Dont try to rush through or it won't work in the end. Make sure that each section's parts move like they are supposed to before moving on. All in all, this is a great puzzle. It is very well make and the instructions couldn't be more clear. It is well designed and a lot of fun to put together. It took me about 7 hours to complete and it works perfectly....as long as I follow the instructions. I am still working on remembering all of the steps to open! Have fun!

Ist wirklich ein Hammer-Produkt, habe es als Geschenkverpackung für ein Weihnachtsgeschenk gekauft und in 2 Wochen zusammengesetzt. Ich hatte meinen Spass, mein Sohn beim Auspacken ebenfalls. Ein sehr gelungenes Produkt mit Suchtpotential.

Pas moyen de faire fonctionner ce coffre, c’est une catastrophe pour le prix!

This is one of my favorites. But, piece "131" has a hole that was laser cut in the wrong place. It was very close to me breaking the piece that fits onto it. Piece "186" fits on top of "131" (page 28) but wouldn't fit due to the hole in the wrong spot. It's a "41" that fits in the hole and you can't see it when putting "131" onto it. Drove me nuts until I figured out what was wrong. Actually pushed the"41" through and up the side of "143" . When I watched the Utube video his was alright. Mine definitely was not. Would be nice if Wood Trick were to send me say the "Rescue Fire Truck" or "Galaxy Marble Run" as compensation for my pain and anguish. I already have the "Spiral Marble Run" and it's my favorite build, and I run it every day.
