Surprisingly Good kit and great fit for 2026 Model Y Juniper door handles
I was a little hesitant to order this Spigen PPF kit for our Model Y since I’ve never done paint protection film before—but after watching a few tutorials, I decided to give it a shot. Turns out, it was a lot easier than I expected, and the results were pretty clean. Just take your time & be a little meticulous for good long-term results. The kit comes with PPF pieces for all four handles (two left, two right), a microfiber cloth, and an empty spray bottle. Just a heads-up: the bottle has a dried solution in it—you’ll need to add distilled water to make your slip solution. Here’s how my install went: Cleaned the paint surface using ONR no-rinse wash. Followed up with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol to make sure there was zero residue. Sprayed the slip solution generously on the handle, peeled the PPF, sprayed the adhesive side, and lined it up carefully. Squeegeed out the solution gradually—once it starts to dry, you lose the ability to reposition, so take your time. Wiped everything down gently with the microfiber cloth. Repeated the process for the paint area around the handle, which takes a bit more patience since it’s a larger piece. Pro tips: USE DISTILLED WATER and NOT tap water so you don't get contaminates under the film when it dries. Is it absolutely necessary, maybe maybe not depending on how hard your water is, but I didn't want to chance any causes of poor adhesion or aesthetic after curing. I used extra microfiber towels and a headlamp which made a big difference. Being able to see the film edges clearly helped me make sure there were no overhangs that could lift later. I even had to peel and reapply one piece—it handled it fine and didn’t stretch or tear. After finishing all four handles, I was honestly impressed with how clean it looked. The film blends really well with our Pearl White paint—you can see it up close, but it disappears once you step back. Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out, especially as a first-time PPF installer. The material feels durable, fits perfectly, and adds some nice protection where it’s needed most. I’ll keep an eye on it and update this review if I notice any yellowing or lifting over time, but for now, I’d definitely recommend it to any DIYer wanting to protect their Tesla handles. After install, I did have a very small black contaminate speck that I noted on one of my PPF pieces when i first peeled off the protective backing from the manufacturer. I tried to gently scrap it off right before application. I thought I removed it but unfortunately was still visible after install. I did reach out to Spigen to see if they would provide a replacement piece. Will update my review on their response. **UPDATE 11/17/25 ** I reached out to Spigen about that one contaminate piece on the Right Rear Passenger handle and they sent me out a replacement. Item took about 3-5 days to be received by USPS. I appreciate their excellent customer service and went beyond my expectations! If this is something you are interested in doing yourself, I say give it a try & Spigen will take care of you if something goes wrong. Happy overall with this purchase & now very confident in their customer service!

Great price, fitment, and easy install.
Installed in 30 minutes on my 26 MY Juniper. Quality packaging, product, and instructions. If you’ve ever installed the old phone screen protectors from 10-15 years ago, this is just like that. Make sure the area around the handles are clean (used quick detailer and a microfiber) then just follow the instructions. No bubbles, great fitment, and for the price if they start to discolor or delaminate after a few years it’ll serve its purpose and be easy to do again. Highly recommend. Anyone saying poor fitment is likely stretching the product. It doesn’t require a lot of pressure to remove the water. Once set wipe it gently with a microfiber and let it set for a day (preferably in the sun) to really adhere and remove any remaining moisture.

Protects the surrounding handle area from minor scratches
If you are like me, small scratches are an eye sore. Be it from repeat brushing of your fingertips and fingernails on the surface to that accidental hit of your wedding band or any type of ring for that matter. Then this is a must for you. Install is straight forward, and it is simply a matter of taking your time to align and squeegee out the water and bubbles. Be very particular about the actual handle film, if you aren't careful with aligning it properly, and once it dries you will feel edge of it. It happened to me with one of my handles thinking I aligned it right. Slightly overpriced in my opinion, but it is Spigen after all.

Great Idea but Poor Product Quality
Purchased this product for my new Tesla Model Y. What a disappointment! First, if you follow the manufacturer's installation instructions you will probably run out of the spray solution that is needed to install the PPF. Secondly, after installing the film with no bubbles and following the directions to the "T" to my surprise within 48 hours small bubbles appeared on all four doors. Could not wait to remove the film because the look was hideous!

Excellent protection
These are great if you Uber or Lyft or have passengers that can’t quite get the hang of grabbing the door handle. They prevent wear and tear or scratches accumulated over time from passengers. They’re barely noticeable and pretty easy to install. It comes with a nice squeegee with a buffer. All you need is slip solution. Seller is very accommodating and provides excellent support.

Be generous and have a clean car.
First time installing something like this. Car needs to be very clean (w the solution provided). Be very generous with the solution and spray as you peal (like window tint videos). I was skeptical at first since there was a bunch of micro bubbles. I figured like window tint, the bubbles with time and heat would disappear. Sure enough they did. Holding very well. Update 1/14/26: Still holding strong. No bubbles, pealing or issues. Definitely glad I purchased this for my microwave (Ha!).
