This probe is every bit as good as the Thermapens I have been buying through the years. My last Thermapen did the same thing as the two previous models. it cracked and fell apart at the hinge, dispite excellent care through the years. I admit I had to ween myself to try the FinalTouch. Smoking Dad BBQ tipped me over the edge so I bought it. I have been very happy with it. It is backlit, Thermapen did not. It awakens when it is picked up so you aren't constantly flipping the probe on and off. It flips the digital readout when used from different angles. The probe rotates more than 270 degrees to make it easy for lefties to use. It reads food temp as fast or faster than my Thermapens. It is a beefy feeling unit with lots of metal on it. Thermapen is all plastic. What's not to like? Oh, and it is way cheaper than a Thermapen. My sons "wing it" when BBQing which drives me nuts. Next visit to each I will buy one for each of them.

This the best, easiest to use, most accurate, fastest reading thermometer I have ever used. This will give you the knowledge, and control you need to cook anything to perfection. It works extremely well and I highly recommend it.

Got tired of our existing slow to respond meat thermometer. This thing is near instant and is extremely convenient. The magnetic back allows us to keep it within arms reach at all times. Battery life is great on it and the build quality is top notch. The temperature accuracy is spot on.

I ordered my final touch x10 and received a defective unit. The temperature reading never went above 70°F or below 60°F. I also could not calibrate it. I reached out to ChefsTemp support, they were very nice and sent me a replacement unit within the week. I'm happy to report that my new final touch x10 works as described. The battery is long lasting, and the durable shell is sturdy. I wouldn't recommend dropping it on the floor, but it'll handle some short falls. The thermometer stick is also well made, it doesn't feel flimsy. It reads temperature quickly and displays it on the large LED display. It's easy to use, right out of the box. Calibrating it can be a pain, as you need to open the back cover to reach the button, but the unit comes pre-calibrated. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my product, and I will be purchasing from ChefsTemp again in the future.

Needed a new meat thermometer and thought this was a bit on the pricy end but compared to the cheap one I use to have, I will never go back. It gets accurate readings fast and the tip is a very fine point, glad I bought it. The magnet thing was something I never thought I would need. I love putting in on the fridge for easy access instead of digging it out the drawer and I like how it sticks to my grill when I am outside cooking.

I do get the accurate readings of the temp within usually a second or so. It is bright enough to read in the day or night time. It has a decent magnet (it SHOULD be stronger at this price point) but it does work fine. It can be used right/left-handed, it is accommodating. The battery should last you for years to come. The overall waterproofing is amazing. I am confident that this is one of the best, if not, THE BEST Meat Thermometer you should get if you love cooking a good juicy steak at the comfort of your own home. (I love Medium rare/ Medium Steak) You should give both the meat thermometer and Medium temp a good try.

I have not used it that long, but it is awesome for someone who is left handed. A great addition!
