ABS scan works. Takes several minutes, be patient with scan.
It works for me and my 2008 Toyota Yaris sedan. Be patient! I got the ABS codes I needed to proceed with repairs, but the scan was slow in my opinion. The scan for both engine DTC and ABS brake codes took about 4 or 5 minutes, slow compared to another DTC scan tool I purchased locally at a big box retailer for $20, that other one only does engine DTC. I followed the instructions both inside the package card and the even better by reading downloadable instructions on Innova's web site. The manufacturer site even has a searchable code library. Just type in the car brand and DTC or ABS code and it tells you what it means. This can save you money on repairs even if you don't repair it yourself. It arms you with knowledge, and that in itself is power. The first and second scan produced ERROR and NO SUP for the ABS brake scan. I waited and tried again later in the day and then, after a couple minutes scanning, it worked and I got my codes I needed for future repair work to procede. For the price it is a great troubleshooting tool that is easy to use in conjunction with the DTC on the Internet. I used my smart phone to snap a picture of the screen code to show a mechanic or auto parts store and to look up code meanings on Innova's web site. I recommend getting one!

Worked Great For My Car
I have a 2013 Ford Taurus SEL and this pulled up and read my ABS codes easily. Now I know exactly what is wrong with my car, great product for under $50!

Simply awesome, save me lots of dollar$$$ with the purchase of a $12.00 part!!!!!!
Had a check engine soon message on my dashboard. It seemed to me that it was something serious and was about to go to the dealer. Read about INNOVA 3020, ordered it and when it arrived just went to the car and in three seconds it indicated me where to find the problem. Wonderful item. Pros: fast and accurate, small, sturdy, excellent!!! Cons: would like it to bring a list of the possible codes with explanations. And lastly, it works perfectly with my 2007 NISSAN Versa S.

Innova 3020 code reader.
I received this code reader sooner than expected. Upon receipt I used it right away on my Nissan Frontier and it displayed the code for the check engine soon light. Went to the web site and look up the code, which determined that it was a possible faulty, or loose gas cap. Sure enough checked the gas cap and found it not to be on tight enough. After tightening the gas cap properly, I used the Innova 2030 to erase the fault and turn off the check engine light. The Dealer service shop told me it would cost me $70 for them to hook up the machine and find the problem. I would still have to pay to have the problem repaired. The Innova 2030 cost me less then $50. The check engine light is out and I am happy. Very handy tool to have and very easy to use.

Ok, I was being bad
I bought this to turn off my check engine light so my car would pass inspection. It did turn off the light, but also reset the computer. That meant I had to drive the car for a while to pass the inspection. The check engine light came back on, but I'm stupid so I kept driving the car. The light miraculously turned itself off and I got the car inspected and it passed. 17 miles later, the light came back on. Eventually I had to replace the battery and alternator. 700 bucks. I seem to have lost the thread of this review. Please buy this wonderful product unless you want to use it for evil. If you know about cars, this will tell you everything you need to know about how dumb the people who drive cars actually are.

A very inexpensive way to communicate with your car's engine
As a relatively inexperienced weekend mechanic, I was concerned when the "Check Engine" light came on in my 2001 Toyota Avalon - I expected a few hundred dollars or more in repair bills, and the potential for an even bigger ripoff. Reading about the CAN bus and the OBDII protocol on-line led me to believe that this tool could help me save some money, or at least understand the extent of the problem before I took it in. I was right. For a remarkably low price (IMHO), I was able to purchase and plug in the device (the jack is below the steering wheel on most vehicles since 1996), and read the error code that generated the alarm. When I learned (by going to the instrument manufacturer's website) that the problem in my car was due to the evaporative emission system, and that the most common cause was a faulty gas cap, I erased the fault with the instrument, cleaned up and lubricated the gas cap, and the light has not come back on. Even if the problem had been more severe, it would have been very helpful to know ahead of time what I was looking at. Cars are increasingly computerized, this tool helps the owner understand what the computer is seeing.
