id say thats pretty impressive. I'm happy with this purchase
So i've been using this cooler for about a month. i work out of my car for the most part, no fridge or freezer available and its outside work. the cooler sits in the car all day. it comes out to drain and top off, thats it. the shell temperature maintains in the car between 90 and 130 degrees. sometimes more. i keep it covered but that only gets me so far. I'm fairly impressed for now. i keep 20 pounds of ice on board, a 2 pound block of yeti ice between the lid and my top layer of ice. i freeze 4, 1 liter bottles of ice prior to loading up with water, gatorade, monster, and my food. this cooler keeps my drinks between 30 and 32 degrees for about 4 days when its in the upper 90s out. i get 5 days before i have some chunks of ice floating and an average internal temp of around 42. cooler gets opened 5 or 6 times a day. for just baking in the car with brief intermittent air conditioning and 0 breeze to help pull heat away from the shell...id say thats pretty impressive. I'm happy with this purchase. if i had the room i would have opted for the 58 quart, but it was just a little too big for the back seat. the food basket is on the small size though and decreases my ice volume significantly, probably by about 5 pounds. i need all the ice i can get in there during the hot months but its better than any lunch box or other cooler I've ever owned...by far. I feel like it was a solid investment and gets me through the hot days with something cold always available.

ORCA 40 Tan Cooler - You might want to get one TODAY
After careful review and cost analysis of the ORCA vs YETI and a couple of work associates that have Yeti's, I opted for the ORCA. Price was a major factor. This will be a 4 day review so it will be updated each day. Finish is fine and most flashing from the Roto Molding was removed. Nothing really sharp to snag or cut. Mesh pocket in back is nice but I have removed it as it will not be functional in my use. Day 1 - Ambient temp is 99 degrees F on covered back porch using an IR handheld thermometer as pictured. Inside the ORCA 40 the temp was 90F. Added 20lbs of ice and shut lid. Left on back deck in the shade. Ambient temp remained above 80's until next day which was 76F Day 2 - Opened the ORCA 40 to take a temp reading and measured temp 2 inches above ice level on the side wall of the cooler. Ambient temp is 94F. Put in a quart jar of juice and at end of 2nd day it was 40.8F Day 3 - Left cooler closed all day on Day 2 except to add one item. Temp today is 74F in am with temp expected to be 90's later in the day. As photo shows the jar of juice that was added was 40.8F and I was surprised the sidewall of cooler was still 38F. Ice has melted some but still plenty. I'm going to call this one a KEEPER as I don't really expect to have to use a cooler for trips for more than 3 days anyway, 4 days at most. UPDATE: Day 4 - Ambient temp 94F Photo shows container sidewall 2 inches above ice/water level 43F Photo shows ice/water at cool 34F Photo shows container of juice at a temp of 38.8F For a savings of over $100 I think this might be one of the best deals in coolers around.

Great Cooler!
I purchased the 40 qt Tan ORCA Cooler because I have had the 58 qt Tan ORCA Cooler and have been extremely pleased with everything about it. Firstly, it keeps things colder longer Han any of our previous coolers. The other great features and strengths driving my purchase include the quality of the material & workmanship, the weight, the interior size and the easy to grab & lift handles. This Cooler was only about $20 less than the Yeti 45 qt. but the ORCA is often rated higher and I have found my other ORCA to have exceeded my expectations and requirements. We vacation at our cabin which is a 600 mile drive and my wife doesn’t like to drive it in one day. We take our frozen and cold supplies with us so they have to stay frozen and cold for the two-day trip. The fridge at our cabin is propane and it takes the good part of another day to get it Cool such that the items can be transferred.

American Made
Best American Made cooler you’ll ever own. We own a 75qt,40qt,20qt and a podster. Never had a problem with any of them. Will hold ice for days

Great quality, keeps cold, very heavy
Overall the cooler works well, very durable, and stays cold with ice packs in the summer in my hot car for 3 solid days while traveling. I do wish I had gotten a smaller one though, as the 40qt when full of ice packs and food is very very hard for my to lift in and out of my car as a 5'6" female, smaller build and some back issues. definitely something to consider!

Top USA Quality All-the-Way - Best Cooler You Can Buy
My wife purchased this for me for my birthday last fall and didn't use our Amazon Prime account because she wanted me to be surprised, so this review may not show Verified Purchaser. However, she did purchase it for me right here on Amazon. I have to say that seldom am I as impressed with a product as I am with my Orca 40 cooler. It is top-of-the-line USA quality all the way. Everything about it indicates quality, strength and attention to detail. I just emptied the ice out of it from a hunting trip 5 days ago. About 2/3rd of the ice was still like new. There are two tricks to getting max life out of your ice in your Orca cooler. 1. Put it lid-open in a cold environment about 12 hours in advance; or, put a bag of ice in it for 12 hours in advance of a trip and close the lid. Then, dump that ice and put 2 fresh bags in and you're set to go for a week (maybe longer...). 2. Drain the water out of it every day. Those two things make a huge difference. Lots of my friends have Yeti's and they're great too. I just prefer to purchase an item that is 100% American materials and manufacturing. For that reason, the Orca is superior to the Yeti by my measure. My guess is that the Orca and the Yeti perform about the same. I give my highest recommendation to the Orca 40.

少し思いのは当然ですが、密封性が良すぎて蓋が開かない。蓋をこじ開ける道具が必要です。製品に空気抜きをつけてほしいです。
