Just plug and go, very easy to use. Works well and with no fuss to read DVDs because modern computers lacks a built in one. Solid feels and seems well made.

Works great, as advertised

The materials are a bit flimsy but it’s a cheap product that works well. I use it with my laptop and it plugs in fine, pretty small so not too much worry about spacing. Burns discs well with no issue, takes around 2-5 minutes on average.

Works as an external DVD drive on my Dell computer

This does not work well with a MacBook Air M3, 2024 . While I have been able to (eventually) rip CDs into iTunes in the past, lately the machine just makes whirring noises as it tries to read a disc, and nothing happens. It also likes to give me error messages that say a "File can not be found" . I will be throwing this in the trash and getting a new, better quality, external CD drive.

The drive worked perfectly right out of the package. It also gave us an adapter for the C to A USB connector/plug, along with a power cord for the 'extra power' that may be required for burning DVD or CD disks. This is quite thoughtful on the part of the manufacturer or distributor. You will need to invest into a 5V, 10-Watt power supply to power this feature if your laptop power buss cannot provide the power. Most micro-laptop computers cannot supply the power without compromising operation or performance. The only excess straw on the camel's back is the fact that we have to choose between regions for the DVD disk payback. I float between overseas and the domestic US quite often, meaning I need a player that can play any type of the disk at anytime. With the advances in technology during the past 20+ years, I would think the engineers and software/firmware writers would find a solution for this divergence in disk data formatting. What say you about this? I contacted the manufacturer/distributor's help desk on this and was informed that 'it is the way the player was manufactured/programed, there is nothing they can do about this. Meanwhile, the DVD burners could continue labeling the disk's packaging with the playback region for reference.

I recently purchased the ORIGBELIE External CD/DVD Drive, which works with laptops and PCs without requiring any additional software on Windows. It works flawlessly. I was able to copy a few discs to a pen drive without any issues. The build quality is also very good for the price, and it comes in decent packaging. Overall, you get exactly what you pay for.
