Tying the chi

Good for Beginners
This is easy to read and informative. Very good for beginners like me and can be read as a more simple explanation alongside some of the more traditional books.

Wordy!
I have a couple of Tai Chi DVD's and there are some good YouTube videos. Hoping a book would give me more background, I ordered this one. I am a third through it and am giving up. It is so verbose and mushy with the details of movements entering at Chapter 8. To be fair, it is difficult to write about physical moves but I found the account of the mindful aspect turgid without real information.

just right for this dummy
Very readable book. I have tried to plough my way through several other books on Tai Chi and have give up before half way, but this one is at my level! Easy to read, good humoured, lots of tips and hints and is easy to dip in and out of (sorry about the bad grammer!). This book is perfect for this dummy!

T'ai Chi For Dummies
I love “Dummies” books and found them to be very helpful. This book explains the joy of T’ai Chi, though for me, I’d still go and find a course to learn it with a qualified instructor. However, don’t let this put you off. As a tutorial, I FULLY recommend this book to get you started on your T’ai Chi journey. Buy with confidence.
