Glad to discover this tool
Other reviews indicate these type of tools have been around for years. It's new to me though and I really like it. I have several garden hoses with replacement ends thanks to my dogs (past and present) who have chewed the hoses. This tool and .041 wire from H. Freight replaced the cumbersome hose clamps. By the way, I think the standard wing nut as on this model is perfectly adequate. No need in my opinion for the more expensive t-handle version. Tool seems very robust for what it is. I know now that there are YouTube vids how to make your own and while that's intriguing (cuz i do stuff like that) I'm happy I bought this little gem!

Does what it says; handy tool
This thing makes strong, simple, tight clamps out of wire. It's versatile and definitely has its uses, plus it's small enough to go in a toolkit. You do need to swing the handle over to lock the clamp, so you need that clearance for the handle to do a 180; if not, you can't make it work... So it's not great when space is at a total premium, like in an engine compartment. You may still need some hose clamps, or t-clamps. But whenever this will work, why not use it? Plus, you can clamp odd shapes with this tool that you can't with other sorts of clamps. Recommended!

Truly handy tool
Unique concept that fullfils many needs you didn't know you had. I have clamped a protective hose on my tractor, repaired an axe handle, and clamped a hose on my tiller. Works great

Handy Tool
I first saw these and purchased one of these at the SEMA show in Las Vegas a while back. I ordered more of these from Amazon to give out as gifts to my close friends. They are a great tool to have in your emergency pack for fastening or making clamps as well as using everyday to make custom clamp solutions. i added this to a small bag along with a variety of stainless and other wire and a cutters - now have a complete do-it-yourself emergency clamping pack for off-road adventures.

Hard to use
It makes a wonderful tight sleek clamp. Beware it is not as easy to use as demonstrated.

Totally has changed the way I see fastening
This is one of those simple tools that will make you work in a new way. I've already used this to repair a number of air hoses around the shop which some of the guys had been trying to seal with duct tape etc. A piece of larger dia. hose and this tool can actually seal it completely tight. It's amazing how it even works if the dia. aren't even that close. It did take a couple of practice runs to really get the hang of using it, but it's not hard.

Amazing tool!
Used this tool to help build a bamboo temple for an arts festival. It was a life saver! Once you get the hang of it, it’s super easy to use. Structures bound using this tool Can support in rebel amounts of weight and force.
