A lovely clock for my husbands 50th birthday - very classy, keeps perfect time and chimes beautifully - we have the chimes turned down quite low and it's a nice feature that the chimes switch off between 11pm and 6am

A nice looking clock and the recorded chimes have a pleasant tone. A good feature is the ability to silence the chimes between 11pm and 6am. While it looks good quality, the front does not open, all adjustments are via the back. It's a bit of a faff to take it down twice a year when it needs to go back/forwards an hour and again to change the battery (which lasted just over 6 months) and again to adjust the volume on the chimes (I got the wrong dial when I put it forward an hour, turned it up to max volume by mistake and it almost blew us away next time it struck). At £205, I felt that it was quite expensive for a modern clock pretending to be an old clock, but was pleased with the appearance and tone.

this is a lovely clock, chime is very good and is very loud but you can turn it down, I have got another London clock company wall clock which I have had 18 years, just started gaining time, hope this one lasts as long.

Well packed and I must say the chimes do have a lovely tone. The volume control was very stiff and I had to use a small screwdriver to be able to move it. The description is very misleading - THE LONDON CLOCK COMPANY - but it comes from China. And not impressed by that at all as I was expecting something made in England. If it had been advertised "from China" I would not have bought it ! Makes me feel it is overpriced ! The oak case is OK but not a patch on the wall clock with a mahogany case it replaced. Disappointing !

Handsome clock. I bought this for my mother whose Seiko clock's chimes have gotten out of sync with the time. So far it keeps good time and chimes when it's supposed to. I like the sound of the chimes. The Seiko chimes have more treble whilst these LCC ones are warmer in tone. There's a volume control and you can have it chime perpetually or off between 11pm and 5am (chimes at 6am). You get used to the chimes and after a time do not hear them unless you listen for them - even at night.

We looked at many similar wall clocks but none matched the long case size of this one. The clock arrived well packaged and was so easy to set up, simply decide on which tune you want - we put whittington on first which is a lovely tone and at present have the Westminster chime on the quarter and hour again a nice tone. The volume can be adjusted from zero to loud and we have ours on a low volume so can hear it in the background as watching tv. I thoroughly recommend this clock, it is very attractive in oak and the pendulum does swing but is not anything to do with the time. power is 1 battery supplied.

Ticks all the boxes. It is just what my wife wanted, lovely sounding chimes which dont sound throughout the night
