I’ve been using the Scosche Magic Mount Pro XL for over five years and decided to try this newer version to see how it works with Apple MagSafe cases. It does feel a bit better—the surface has a slight circular depression that seems to align with the MagSafe magnet. When I place my phone on the mount and slide it slightly, it feels like it’s almost “docking” securely. The magnet is strong and holds my phone firmly, even on bumpy roads. Installation is quick, and the low-profile design fits nicely in my car. A solid upgrade for anyone using MagSafe-compatible devices.

Sturdy and perfect for a limited space cupholder in my Honda Fit. The adjustable base firmly tightens into the cupholder, and the MagSafe compatible magnet firmly holds the phone in place. Note that this is NOT a MagSafe charger, it is only a magnet to hold the phone.

I used to hate cupholder phone mounts. I thought they were bulky and awkward. But after trying so many different car phone mounts and being disappointed every time, I finally pulled the trigger on this and I’m glad I did. It fits perfectly in my Mazda 3 and doesn’t get in the way of anything. The viewing angle is spot on, and the swivel feature makes it easy to adjust however I want. It’s super stable and works great with my MagSafe iPhone. If you don’t need all your cup holders, this is a solid option. Totally changed my opinion on cupholder mounts.

I got this to accommodate a new iPhone with magsafe case. I already had a Scosche magnetic holder on my dash with the 3M adhesive and it worked well. Because the magsafe magnet sits higher than the plate I had put in my old phone case it hid a good portion of my new phone behind the steering wheel. I saw this product and thought it would work but it was out of stock forever. In the meantime I went to a magsafe vent mount but my center vents don't have an on/off just directional and I didn't like the hot air blowing on the phone. The good is that the ball on this fit fine with the old mount I had on my dash. It gives you a few extra inches to get it out of the way of a vent or higher or lower viewing angle. I was worried about wobble and vibration because it moves the weight of the phone out to the end of an arm but I've found that with the arm at the 12 oclock and 6 oclock position it is pretty solid. At 3 oclock and 9 oclock it tends to wobble and vibrate and bounce around a little more. The magnet itself feels very secure. The bad? At $40 the price is ridiculous for what you get but it fit a specific need so I ponied up. The end that attaches to the dash has a ball end that snaps into a mount and then a large nut that tightens down so if it gets loose you can just tighten it up. The magnet end that the phone mounts to is sufficiently stiff but moveable but has no visible way to tighten it when it starts to loosen. It seems that it just works on friction and after a few years of vibration and adjustment and removing the phone I have my doubts that it won't start sagging every time you put the phone on it. But I just got this product so we will have to wait and see. Good product, great product if it fits a specific need for you, but extremely overpriced and questionable durability.

I literally got into a car accident... My phone was still holding strong!

It was not great. The magnet is strong but that means it is hard to pull the phone off when you're leaving your car. It provides several ways to mount it to the car dash. I used the fan fixture. Even though the mount was secure the road vibrations still made the screen vibrate during travel. Also, the magnet would not stick to my phone protector case, so I had to epoxy it on, which was a permanent decision. Now I can't charge my phone wirelessly without heating up the magnet on my case. Not too happy with that and I cannot imagine using the provided adhesives to mount it to the car dash anywhere without the adhesives ruining the dash or being too weak to hold it, so I didn't use the adhesives. Partly I feel this device may be helpful for some, but for me it did not work out. Now, I have to buy a new phone protector and see about a different way to access my phone while in the car. This seemed like the best option but I wasn't impressed. I give it a solid 3 stars, which I think is a little too nice.

Love these Scosche magic mounts!! Have them on all 4 of our vehicles, with two each in three of the vehicles (1 for driver & 1 for passenger side) and also on 2 street motorcycles. For the driver side I've had to superglue the extra large flat dashboard magnetic to these, in order to hold my HEAVY cell! My cell has a leather folding case which the magnetics sit inside of the sleeve that also carries 4 of my credit cards. My husband has his magnetic inside his Otter case and doesn't need the the larger dash mount. These are great!

Hold magsafe casing firmly and other magnet plate strongly. I bought cause of magsafe. I use castify magsafe case, found it hold strong.

This checks all my requirements. I needed a mobile 📱 holder that doesn't hang, or stick to my dashboard, where it's hard to reach, blocking my view, and showing all my notifications to everyone.... this perfectly suits my requirements... I keep it in cup holders in front of my gear leaver in vw polo

Love this little product. I got a compatible phone case (thigh a magnet is included) and I use it every time I get in my vehicle. It's visually appealing when not in use. Super strong magnet but easy to remove. Can't complain.

En mi caso tuve la necesidad de comprarlo ya que no es estorboso, se adhiere perfectamente al tablero de los autos o cualquier superficie. Pero lo principal, ya que es MagSafe, mantiene el iPhone quieto a pesar incluso de pasar un tope o baches en las calles al ir manejando. El precio es un poco caro, pero la verdad es que se siente de calidad y funciona muy bien considerando usar una funda que también sea MagSafe aunque no sea de la marca Apple y sea de un tercero. Yo lo uso con mi iPhone 13 mini con una funda Spigen que es Magsafe y perfecto!
