Huanyang VFD,single to 3 Phase,Variable Frequency Drive,2.2kW 3HP 220V input AC 10A for Motor Speed Control,HY Series

I was worried about programming this, but it wasn't hard at all. The manual is pretty clear. I did have a single point of misunderstanding but support answered it quickly. I used remote switches on my mill to go forward,reverse,and stop... And I put a potentiometer atop the box. I mis wired the potentiometer , and tech explained the correct wiring and got me going. Very happy with it so far as it has worked great, and my milling is much more accurate with speed control , I can power tap without my tapping head. Awesome, wish I had done this much sooner.

Worked great for 3 months and then started arcing when plugged into the 220 outlet. It did this several times and stopped working. Junk it looks like. How about a replacement? I have an identical one on another motor that is still working. But that machine has not been used as much.

The price point is very appealing for sure but it gets better from there. All functions with this unit work. The motor can ramp up to speed by your determined seconds of time as well deceleration You can program the max RPM It will display the RPM, Amps. Forward, Reverse, and Power on. Only if it would turn off the VFD fan runs and lighted display say on when stopping the VFD you have to unplug it or install a inline switch to disconnect the VFD it’s about as good as it gets for VFD and $$$ small price for such great drive Not sure on how long it will last most YouTube video’s like it as well

Works great, easy to program, much better implementation of integration options than the slightly less expensive VFDs. I will never buy a less expensive model, the Huanyang is the way to go. Has been reliable for me.

This VFD does it’s job well. I bought this one so I could control via serial connection. The setup took me a while to figure out as the manual is not super easy to follow but I got it done. My only complaint is the fan is loud enough to wake the dead. I have half a mind to cut the case up and replace the fan with a larger one that can move more volume with less speed.

This unit was installed on my 60 year old Craftsman drill press. The drill press's spindle would never run slow enough for large drills or several other applications. I replaced the original single speed motor with a three phase motor and powered it through this VFD drive. I now have an infinite range of speeds from barely turning up to very high rpm's. Torque is surprisingly high, even at very low speeds.

Used it once, worked perfectly. Second time I plugged it in, started blowing breakers. The line and neutral inputs appear to be shorted internally within the VFD.

Does everything I expected to do. Used for a 3 phase 2 HP motor for a belt grinder. Programming is a bit confusing at first, but once you understand it it's no big deal.

Took a bit to figure out the settings but nothing that I could not find online. Works excellent. One issue is the beating in fooling fan was faulty right from the box. Squeals.
