I’m not an expert but this brand was recommended by one. It is PURE extra virgin olive oil from Australia. Highly rated for taste and consistency. I’m pleased so far and feel better about what I am actually paying for in the ‘olive oil’ bottle. Has a neat pour spout which pops up when you unscrew the cap.

I have tried various brands of extra virgin olive oil in the past, and most of them had that plastic cover with a small hole for a spout. Sometimes oil would trickle out and other times you'd get a huge wave and inevitably you would always get oil dripping down the side of the bottle, making it slippery and creating more mess to clean up. Well, I tried the Cobram Estate California version when I saw that it had won World's Healthiest Olive Oil at the 2017 Health & Food Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. Honestly, I know nothing about olive oil competitions- how many competitions there are, which one is the one that has most recognition, which one is most trustworthy, how many competitors there were -but I figured since I don't know if any of the other brands on the shelves had won any awards I would give this one a try. Well, I'm no taste connoisseur but I didn't have a problem with it when I used it to make a salad vinaigrette, or when I used it instead of baking spray for cornbread, or when I used it to fry something in a pan. What really sold me was the spout. I always hated having to clean up a greasy bottle of olive oil and this spout makes it so convenient not only to get the perfect amount of olive oil onto whatever I'm doing, but it makes it so I don't have to wipe up the bottle every time I use it! It's super easy to put the lid back on because the pop up spout goes back inside the bottle with barely any effort. It makes me think that Cobram Estates actually cares about their customers; not only the customer's health, but also how the customer feels when they are using the bottle. The thin shape of the bottle makes it economical to use. My fingers aren't having to reach reach around a bulky shaped bottle. So I highly recommend this product and hope that Cobram Estates continues to make a quality, healthy olive oil.

Decent taste but my understanding is it has a microplastic content

This olive oil has a superb mildly grassy/earthy taste. Tastes crisp and fresh. I'm not ashamed to say I've eaten a tablespoon or two of this straight off the spoon when I'm making a caprese salad or something. This is a *perfect* drizzling olive oil - it'd be a waste to cook with it though as you'd lose some of the flavor. It is packaged very well, but still one of the two bottles I received had gotten jarred and leaked and I lost about an oz. of olive oil in the package. Not excessive leakage, but when you pay this much for a bottle of olive oil, an oz. is a lot to go missing. Also, a few weeks ago I discovered that they started carrying this brand at Whole Foods! I happened to catch it on a great sale too, so I bought another couple bottles. I highly recommend this olive oil, but you might be better off picking it up at your local WF store if you're near one. Either way, BUY IT!!

This olive oil is truly exceptional. Very mild but flavorful taste. Now I look for food items I can add it to, it's that good. Highly recommend. This will be my "go to" olive oil as long as it's available

Great oil

We all have complaints from time to time about the spouts provided on some olive oils dripping excessively. You'll find a surprise when you uncap this olive oil. There is a built in dispenser concealed under the cap. And this spout retracts under the cap when you screw it shut. Other than great design, the olive oil itself is wonderful. Slightly peppery without constricting your throat as some oils do and very fresh tasting. I highly recommend this oil. As a matter of fact - I'm going to order more right now!!

Very nice olive oil that has a fresh grassy tang to it. Quite dry in mouth feel like a great olive should be. Fabulous drizzled over feta tomatoes cucumbers and peppers with kalamata.

COBRAM ESTATE Extra Virgin Olive Oil 12 oz (Pack of 2) I RECEIVED ONE CARTON AND PACKING INSIDE WAS SUITABLE FOR 1 BOTTLE ONLY? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 2ND BOTTLE?

More hype than taste for the price. Not a very elevated taste profile becoming rather flat. Compare this olive oil to Paesano from Sisley and Cobram Estate tastes like water. It is absolutely worth it to pay even more than $33 for Paesano olive oil . For my taste there is no equal at this price point. PS. Ordered a 2 pack got one bottle for $66.00. Thankfully Amazon was able to secure a refund from the seller who seems to be desperate for money rather than running an organized business. First and last time to be ordering from this vendor. Ya think we can tell we only received one bottle of olive oil instead of two. .?
