Prior to installation, the printer consistently failed during the homing process—particularly when attempting to return to the home position after movements or prior to auto-leveling. The issue persisted despite verifying sensor functionality, cleaning components, and checking connections, suggesting a deeper mechanical or detection problem within the original extruder assembly. Upon replacing the entire extruder unit with this official ELEGOO part, the homing behavior returned to normal immediately. The print head now reliably completes the full homing sequence (X, Y, and Z axes), positions correctly, and proceeds with auto-leveling without interruption.

I got this for my Neptune 3 Plus that had suffered a partial clog that I just couldn't seem to fix. I had spent 2 hours taking it apart trying to troubleshoot until I gave up and decided to look for a replacement. After seeing how affordable this was, I don't know why I struggled so long. This is a bargain and another reason I'm glad I went with Elegoo! Installation took just a couple of minutes and after that, everything worked like it did on Day 1. My print quality was back to normal with no issues and I had my printer back after avoiding using it for nearly a year! If you're having print problems or really bad clogs, I would strongly recommend picking up a new extruder for a fresh start.

After a bad print job resulting in a big blob of s mess damaging a fan and the hot end ( because it stripped off) This was actually a better deal than buying the individual parts. Works great and now i have my old good parts as spares.

First let me say that customer service was fantastic, was a little lengthy with communication and pictures but they went above and beyond to resolve any issues. It prints great when it worked hence 4 stars. Print quality was great, it was quiet and it fit perfectly in the printer.
