The first thing I noticed was the weight, it feels sturdy. It feels decent quality. It has a number of different light temperatures which you can change by tapping on the left side. Tapping the left side twice will dim the slight slightly. The RGD lights can be cycled through by tapping on the right side, and there's a ton of different options. There's moving and static varieties, and plain white if you're wanting something more toned down. The back of my monitor is slightly curved, but this first fine. I haven't had to use the sticky bits to make it stay in place. The light can plug directly into your monitor USB, so great for cable management.

I use mine with the UPlighters as DOWNlighters. ? - colour side of the bar facing down, regular lights off. Works for me, I still have a regular monitor lamp (twice the width of this one). 1st: it DOES remember the last setting - YIPPEE! Most adjustments are simple. 2nd: seperate all in one controls for the lights. 3rd: NOT a DESK light, it works fine for illuminating the keyboard / mouse in front of your monitor, nothing else. 4th: the uplighter is quite good, but you don't really get the effect when using the computer. I still use seperate backlights. 5th: unless you have a square monitor you WILL need two. They really should make different length ones. On its own it lights up an extended keyboard - no wider. CONTROLS. Looking at the lamp cable backwards. L = down lamp. 1 press on, press and hold off. single tap = yellow (night) / white (day) / both double tap = hi, mid, lo. R = uplighter. 1 press on, press and hold off. single tap - cycle through the modes. Not too bright, but good for most things like seeing the keyboard. I am keeping my old monitor light - more like a floodlight really. BIGGIE - forget the mount it comes on; unless you have the right monitor it won't work. Soundbar brackets are ideal to mount this, no point explaining mine and too tricky to photograph. I bought two and the packing is great - they took a LOT of abuse en route to me boxes damaged, contents intact though. Boxes not sealed - no way to tell if they were returns.

I wanted a top layer of backlighting to add to the backlight from my desk and this light bar didn’t disappoint. Paired with my desk it looks great and casts a decent amount of light. The desktop illumination is fantastic too. There’s a good range of colours and modes so there’s something for every aesthetic. If I had to pick out a negative, it’s that you might struggle to keep it positoned with thinner monitors. On mine it’s not the most secure fit, although the adhesive stops it from falling quite well. Overall I’m very happy with the product.

I am totally amazed at the simple brilliance (not luminance!) of this light. I thought for the price it would be dull or not function as well as advertised. How wrong was I. It is a fantastic piece of kit and so simple to set up. I’ve mounted it on my Mac Studio Monitor. It leaves sufficient space for the video camera and the Mount is solid. I had to use a USB A to USB C to adaptor to plug into the monitor. Total value for money here. Absolutely delighted with.

My desk is in a corner of a room which can get quite dark even before nightfall or even dusk so, rather than use a lamp bright enough to light up the entire room when it's still light outside I thought I'd try one of these these. Easy to set up out the box. You can figure out how to balance it on your monitor right away; "claw" facing the front and a weighted ball at the back. Turning the light on is also easy enough. Single tap on one end turns on the front light, other turns on the RGB. Now the tedious part is adjusting the lights as other reviews have mentioned... Double-tapping quickly adjusts the brightness while single tap cycles through the 3 available colour temperatures; two similar looking white colours and one warm. Sometimes the double-tapping ends up registering as a single tap so you end up having to cycle through the temperatures again which can be irritating. I think it would have been better if single tap was brightness and double-tap was temperature. I've had times when the reading light I use the most doesn't even register my touch unfortunately. There are 3 levels of brightness and the lowest works for me. It's USB powered so don't expect it to be that bright; especially when it's powering an RGB LED strip too. 7W manages 350lm at 1/2 meter away is pretty decent on full brightness I think. At least enough to stop the monitor from being too bright. If you're not used to a bar of light within your sight (or the usual light bulb) it could get a bit of getting used to. Especially if you want it angled away from the monitor towards you. I ended up leaving it directly pointing down to my desk. RGB can also be tedious. It might be RGB but you're really stuck with a number of colours only; flowing rainbow strip, static rainbow strip, flowing red-green/blue-green/yellow-blue/yellow-aqua/aqua-purple/purple-white, fading colour cycle, static red/blue/green/yellow/aqua/purple/white. None of these 16 modes had what I wanted which was a matching warm white to go with the front reading light unfortunately. Ignoring its fidgety touch controls, it's bright enough to work comfortably on a 27" monitor during dark hours. + Decent enough lighting to elminate monitor glare. + Still enough space underneath bar for clip-on monitor web-cams. - Fidgety touch controls. - Main light touch controls sometimes doesn't even register... - Limited RGB lighting options. - Two white temperatures look just the same.
