Outdoor Research Swift Cap

I purchased this hat to keep me cool when hiking. I've purchased a few hats for this purpose but this is the only one that has worked. It super light, breathable, reflects the sun & fits perfectly as it's easily adjustable. Because the peak is structured, it doesn't flop around in the wind like other hats I've bought. Being hypercritical, I wish the mesh sides were a lighter colour to better reflect the sun. Instructions say you can machine wash it but not tried this yet. Overall very happy with the purchase.

For mountain hikes I would usually wear a run of the mill black Nike baseball cap. However, although being black and not exactly wise to wear in hot sun, even on cooler days I was getting fed up of how drenched my head was getting - not to mention the white salt lines from the sweat. The Outdoor Research cap is very lightweight and thin with the additional benefit of the mesh sides for air flow and venting. It's well made and doesn't appear to have faded in the sun so far. It has also survived being machine washed a few times so I'd say this is a pretty decent buy.

A great lightweight cap. Thin enough to fit comfortably under a cycle helmet to offer shade on sunny days and no uncomfortable button present.on the crown. Extremely washable and quick drying. Adjustable strap to accommodate a range of head sizes.

Really light to wear and very cool compared with other caps. Good adjustment and I love the fact it is fully washable. Survived heavy rain and lots of sun on holiday. Best cap I've bought - so good I bought one for my husband as well (in a more masculine colour!)

Good cap for sun..... but can blow off in strong wind.

Good hat. Keeps the sun off my head and stops sweat running into my eyes. Nice and cool ventilated design. Been though the washer a few times and still as new. I'm going to order another one of these.

I've bought this cap several times (in different colours) for myself and other hikers. It's fully adjustable at the back, so should comfortably fit any adult head. A good brim. Lightweight with ventilated side mesh. I've used this cap on long and short hikes and it's the best I've found. Works well with sunglasses, or under a rain jacket hood.

I now have two of these hats and have ordered a 3rd! What a great summer hat. Well ventilated, easy to adjust .... excellent array of color selections. I am very happy with this purchase! The only suggestion would be to participate in the "Prime" program in order to offer two day shipping ... but that is minor. These hats are worth a couple of days in wait time!

年間通してアウトドアに出ることが多いので、ヘッドギアはいろいろ揃えてますが、このキャップがもっともしっくりくる。年間通して必需品です。洗っても速攻で乾くから、ウォーキング、フィッシング、タウンユースでも大活躍です。

I have purchased several of these hats in various colors. They fit well, are easily adjusted, the vented mesh is a major plus in hot tropical and / or desert environments. I bought my first one for a trip to hike through rainforests in Costa Rica. It holds up well through countless times through the washing machine (I recommend letting it air dry rather than running it through a dryer). My favorite version of this hat is gray, has made it through 6 trips to Costa Rica, two trips to the national parks in the Midwest, and being worn almost daily all summer in the mountains of western North Carolina where I live. It’s very thin, lightweight, UV resistant, color doesn’t fade, and folds up easily into a pocket, daypack, or book bag. Like many other outdoor research (OR) products I own, it’s made of high quality very durable materials and I have truly put it to the test in rainforests, deserts, beaches, mountains, cutting grass, remodeling my house, over many years and it looks just like it did when I first bought it years ago.
