Slide Camera Strap

As a professional photographer who spends long hours shooting in the field, I can confidently say the Peak Design Slide camera strap is the best I’ve ever used. Its build quality is exceptional, combining durable, high-grade materials with a sleek, modern design. The quick-adjust sliders allow effortless transitions between carrying styles, while the Anchor Link system makes swapping cameras or setups seamless and secure. I shoot with a Nikon D6 and a variety of lenses, and by the end of the day, it remains comfortable to carry around. Simply put, the Slide delivers the perfect balance of functionality, comfort, and style, making it an indispensable tool for any serious photographer.

As a freelance photographer who's constantly on the move, I've tried a lot of camera straps over the years — most of them either cut into my shoulder after a few hours or look like they were designed in the '90s. The Peak Design Slide strap completely changed that. Pros: ✅ Comfortable even with heavier gear. I’ve used it with my Canon R5 + 70-200mm lens for full-day shoots and barely noticed the weight. ✅ Quick adjustments. The aluminum quick-pull adjusters are smooth and let me switch from shoulder to sling carry in seconds. ✅ Secure attachment. The Anchor Link system is brilliant. Fast to connect/disconnect, yet feels rock solid. ✅ Sleek design. Minimalist but premium look — doesn’t scream “camera strap,” which I appreciate. ✅ Versatile. Works well with mirrorless or DSLR, and I’ve even used it on binoculars and bags. Cons: ⚠️ Slight learning curve with the anchor system at first. Took me a minute to trust it, but now I love it. ⚠️ On the pricier side — but honestly, you get what you pay for. Bottom line: If you’re serious about photography and value both form and function, this strap is absolutely worth the investment. It's one of those rare accessories that makes shooting genuinely more enjoyable.

I absolutely love this strap. Because of the PD quick disconnect system it’s easy to take on & off the camera. It’s very comfortable and I like the adjustable buckle system making it a breeze to adjust the length. I have complete confidence in the quick disconnect system- that it will stay firmly in place until I want to disconnect it from the camera, and that I can do it quickly without difficulty. Worth the price.

Great leash, the best in my opinion. I use it with my Nikon Z9 and it's very comfortable. The thickness is a great advantage and doesnt compare with the original from Nikon. I also like how it slides trough my shoulder when I need to use the camera quickly. Seems very durable, after 4 years still looks as new. Thank you Peak design!

I've only had this strap a few days but I am very impressed. I've gone through several other strap styles, always going for the imitation, cheap alternative to name brand. I ran across this strap and it's styling seemed to meet all my requirements. So I bought it and now I wish I had gone with this one years ago. It is very well thought-out and the quality seems to be great. The slides are a little stiff right now because the whole thing is brand new but they work fine and make this strap so flexible. Should I experience any problems in the future I will update this review but i don't foresee any issues. If you're shopping around, don't make the same mistakes as i did. Spend a couple dollars more for a very well designed and constructed strap and you won't be sorry! And you won't be buying strap after strap trying to find one that will satisfy your requirements and in the long run spending far more than you would if you get this one.

$80 for a camera strap is really outrageous. For a kit camera that costs $500, $80 is 20% of the cost of the camera, for a strap. So, I didn’t buy this strap to be trendy, I bought this strap because my other straps (pictured) are well over 20 years old. And that’s not part time use, but daily, in a variety of conditions and neither of those straps failed me, but it was time for new ones. Enter Peak Designs. I love this strap. There’s one thing missing, my old straps had little pockets for memory cards which is awesome and if Peak Design worked that in, these straps would be perfect. I love the cross body ability and that has changed how I carry my gear. I use Nikon pro body cameras (z9,d5,d4 etc) with heavy glass. These carry the weight and distribute it awesome. Since purchasing, I bought a second one at my local camera shop, I’ve done several 10+ hour events and I can say these straps made a difference. I bought them being severely biased by the workhorses I’ve used for 20 years and my mind was changed. They are very high quality. The instant adjustable buckle is really convenient and easy. Love that. The quick connect discs are wicked cool too. Love those. The length, the cross body, the materials, the innovative clips attachments and buckles, super!! Only thing missing for me, is a pocket for memory cards and of course the downside of price. But I expect, these will last 20 years just like my old ones. 1 star off for price.

Peak Design really makes some great gear. I'll be honest I was skeptical of how good this strap would be, I thought the price was kinda high and was going to go with pgytech but I'm so glad I didn't!!! My camera feels secure, it's perfect as a crossbody, the strap is super comfy, and as an avid hiker I feel like my gear is protected. I use the same plate as my capture clip so it's compatible and I honestly love the setup so much I'm going to get another strap for my 2nd camera. I love how easy it is release the anchors when I don't want the strap as well. I highly recommend getting this.

Material y calidad. Muy bien. Más cómoda que la original de Nikon (en mi caso) la suavidad del material y el grosor hacen que sea más placentero llevar cámara y teleobjetivo. No digo que quite peso, que no, pero la sensación es diferente.

Belle largeur qui assure un appui suffisant sur l’épaule, intéressant pour des boîtiers plutôt lourds, F2 dans mon cas. La partie centrale reste plate une fois retiré de l’épaule ce qui peut surprendre certains. Pour le reste le système Peak Design n’est plus à valoriser, le système d’ancres à demeure sur le boîtier est très pratique (pas de gêne lors de la manipulation du boîtier) offrant confort et sécurité et le système d’ajustement est très intelligent. Concernant le design vert/inserts cuir, il convient à merveille pour des appareils vintage. Le prix reste élevé mais je pense qu’on en a pour quelques années de tranquillité.

Versatile strap: slides on one side, not slide on the other one. Very nice to use, just works, really. Word of warning: has some padding in the middle, which prevents it from being rolled for storage/transportation and prevents adjusters from sliding along entire length. Therefore single point configurations are not really possible. Another caveat is the fact that it has metal parts. They can scratch cameras and there are people who had that happened to them. So i store mine separately while in bag and attach only when i get camera out. It's also fairly bulky even when folded.
